UFO compilation videos...
Most contain a smorgasbord of "UFO" sightings from around the world over a certain time frame (like "this past week's UFO sightings", for instance).
Almost all of them are thrown together without regard for research or accuracy. Due to the lack of research or fact-checking, many of these videos
will contain clips of known hoaxes, CGI, etc, either deliberately, or due to lack of research. And as most members know, ATS Staff and most of our
members do not like UFO hoaxes or hoaxers. They are a thorn in the side of the UFO research community.
These videos and YouTube channels' sole purpose are about getting views and ad revenue instead of actual UFO research. They're only in it for the
attention, to make a quick buck, or both.
As such, Staff have decided that going forward,
any threads containing UFO compilation videos will be moved to the trash bin. ATS will not aid
these YouTube channels in getting views and revenue for slapping some "UFO" compilation videos together with no attempt to research what they are
depicting.
*** This rule will
not apply to legitimate UFO documentaries that contain a compilation of different cases, and opposing views for research
purposes.
This is just another step in taking back real UFO research, and disallowing compilation videos where hoaxes can be inserted among legitimate UFO
sightings.
