So many roles and characters, but there is only one actor.

The actor is just one, he is living so many characters, so many roles.

There is the good guys and the bad guys, he is all of them, he just wants to live it all.

No one is to blame for anything, no one is guilty, people didn't choose anything, we are all playing our role.

Rules and penalties exist to maintain order, not because people are to blame.

Just play your role the best you can, the actor wants to live it all.

No guilt, no blame, no shame, no regrets, you are not to blame, you do things according to a lot of factors you didn't choose, you are playing your role, all factors that make you do and decide... are you to blame? Really?

Just play your role!

I'm sorry.
While what you say is partially true.
It doesn't mean you are or should be exempted from the responsibility of your choices.
Guilt, blame, shame, and regret are good things in moderation.
It means you are learning and are willing to learn when accept those things.
But, of course, as with anything, too much is a bad thing.
Just like having too little.

Reminds me of a TV quote I love from a show I love:
“We are all the sum of our tears. Too little and the ground is not fertile,
and nothing can grow there. Too much, the best of us is washed away. “

We play our roles and become the character so deeply that we forget who or what we really are. The roles may be fantastic and you could go on like this forever but for one problem, suffering. Suffering makes you want to opt out of the game and when you want to opt out you begin to realize your true nature. This is why suffering is a blessing and truly your friend and not an enemy. IMHO this is why the Planet is in such a mess, it's time for us to wake up and without all of the pain going around nowadays, we would just go right on sleeping (unaware) (unconscious) (ignorance) (suffering)

You are correct, the world's a stage, however, if we didn't feel regret, shame even dispare than how would we grow? It's the experience of doing something that allows us to learn. It's the experience of failure that allows us to do it better.

Hmmm, i don't really know if the game is to do better or worst, maybe we just have to live it, behind each one of us is the actor. Who says he doesn't want to play the bad guy through some of us? Why should the bad guys be different if the actor wants to play them?

What we call a "personality" is both the chemistry in our brains and bodies dictating how we feel, coupled with the amalgamations of personalities we've observed over our lifetime. The "mask" we wear is simply the mask we've constructed, taking inspiration from other masks we've seen along the way. It is our armor, and also our weakness. Behind our masks, we are protected from the dangers of revealing our "self" to others, but we are simultaneously robbed of that joy as well.

Choices are new events in time, and when we cease to make choices, we are simply floating with the current. If we perform any action without "choice" present, then we cannot really be "blamed" for what we have done or are doing. As soon as there are intentions, there are choices, things that we expect to happen as an outcome of our actions, and as such, we are judged for the choices we make, by those whom our choices have affected. This can either be "good" or "bad".

Well it's the premiss of the entire thread. You don't need to read everyone's posts. Click the Hidden Hands "posts in thread" icon under his avatar.

He speaks of service of self versus service to others. He being from the Luciferian soul group makes his role service to self. In order to ascend as it were, is to be 99% service to self. You ask me, that's rather difficult.

Or if you strive for the other soul group you only need like 55% service to others.

Another words, it's not really good or bad but positive and negative. Kinda what you were getting at in your OP.

Over the last few years, I've been comtemplating this idea. The whole actor on a stage philosophy.

I realise now that what has made my otherwise blessed life "hard" is that I lack the clear sight of actually choosing a part.
At one time I praised the ability of being a chameleon that could conform to any given situation, but playing that part makes the audience uncertain of how to deal with me, it makes it hard for them to sympathize with my role at any given moment... because, who will I (he) be next?

Having realised that, my thoughts now and again go around the issue of choosing a part to play. I mean.... I really really find that hard to do.

It's not like I belive that my life is like a Truman Show, I simply just don't know which part is fitting for me, both in the terms of wanting to be "good at something" and in the terms of actually liking the part I'm playing.

At the moment I'm playing the part of being a commercial photographer, but that has really been a rollercoaster of emotions. Some days it's good fun.... other days I despise it utterly, dreaming of one day owning my own land and growing my own vegetables.
One day, sucking up to capitalism, but mostly combatting it behind the curtains.

So choosing a part is suddenly not that easy once you realise that it's all just a big show.

There's a very clear truth of the notion of "ignorance is bliss". I excedingly find that knowing more and more and realising more and more, makes it harder and harder being a part of the show.

I'm not planning on taking the ticket our of here, since I have a family now, but I have to admit; thinking about me being here for another 40-50 years before returning to the shape of pure energy makes me quiver a bit.
In fact, I can imagine myself becoming immensely bored with the trivial chores of life within the foreseeable future.

So what to do? Just deal with it? I don't know if I even want to know what the higher level of life is, because being in this vessel of a body, it fills me with irrational fear or the unknown.
What if being pure energy is even more unintersting? Is the concept of "interest" something that follows the human body?

What about love and responsibility... having had the pleasure of putting a life into this world / universe / what ever, how can I leave that behind at any point? I feel like I should be there for them for the entirity of their human life span.

As years go by, I look back at old phrases and sayings and suddenly realise that these thoughts and ideas might already have been passing through the heads of people before me and before them.
The whole dual of the fates and balance of nature.

EDIT / Addition:

Something I have also realised in this thought process is being uncertain of what part to play or what personae to let shine, actually causes me to become frustrated and in that frustration lash out at other people, especially those close to me.

It makes me understand what goes on the minds of people who are clinical ill or depressed or something like that.

But what is the root cause of not being able to find that "purpose"... that part in life?

I think that question is the most important, because there's nothing quite as ailing as wanting to be part of something but feeling like you were either late in the game or having been chosen last.
In fact life in early school years is more or less a version of adult life.
