Just to be clear, are you saying young earth scientists does not have a say about science?

Now i'd be happy if you provided some evidence of the existence of "Young Earth Scientists", as every thing i ever read on the subject relied on not even vaguely understanding science or examining evidence in any rational and balanced manner.

wow - just fooking wow - that is your best evidence ?????????????????????????????????????????

to be sure we are talking about the same claim :

" Scientific dissent from darwinism "

is a statement , :

" We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged."

which has been signed by a number of people - few of whom have any scientific qualifications at all - let alone relevant experties in the feilds required

is that really the pinacle of your argument for a young earth - which was the actual question .

so i cannot fathom why you respond with a list of wingnuts who reject " darwinism "

WTF ????????????????????????????

Actually that is a list of names of mostly young earth scientists. Nothing to do with my argument for a young earth.

99% of those people has a PhD. People should really read what is said...

Where is the link?

And PhD doesn't necessarily mean anything.

They are easy to get from places with lax standards.

Those places tend to be religious universities.

Give me a few minutes and I will have everything up on the page. Then you will go look up where they got their PhD.

One question, I am still new to ATS. How do you post images you have uploaded?

My personal opinion is that the earth is 7000 years old.

That's much more reasonable than 6,000.

Maybe it's the rum, maybe it's the fact that it's 4:30 in the morning and I'm half-delusional, but I haven't laughed out loud like that in a good while. Thanks!

Click on the image you've uploaded, and it should show you the link to use to embed. Just copy that into your post.

Edit: it says 'BBcode for use in post'.

Actually someone else asked to see names of scientists that believe in a young earth. So it was not me who brought up the topic. You are accusing the wrong person.

I thought science does not need evidence? That was said earlier.

Science is driven soley by evidence. Creationist faith is driven soley by the exclusion of evidence. One of these things is not like the other...
