Peddler's Ghost cartoon

There was a cartoon short on Saturday morning TV back in the late 70's or early 80's that I really enjoyed. I don't know the actual title or anything-just that it involved an older couple that had unexplained things occurring in their home. One day, they dug up their basement for some reason or other and found a skeleton buried there. It turns out that a long time before they'd moved in a peddler was murdered and buried in the basement. For the life of me, I can't recall what it was called. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've looked online but can't find a thing.

Sounds a lot like an episode of "Courage the Cowardly Dog", But that was the 90's...
