Are they the glories of war?

I hope not... but, this reminds me of a passage in the good Bible... it tells of a situation where a war is lost and the winners took whatever they wanted and even gave a percentage of the 'virgins' to God.

hmmm

I would like to think these children, young girls after their Parents died or were arrested are safe and not being exploited, but unfortunately... after reading information about human trafficking, oh and the Bible.... I am not that confident.
Trading Humans like Cattle

VERY sad and I am so worried. I hope someone can tell me these young girls made it safe home and they are ok.

Just wanted you to know that I support your thread here. Threads like this should be the most important on ATS.

I am just very very sorry and heartbroken as a human once I found out what this world is really like.

Even in the so called civilized western countries in peace time we know that children are exploited sexually. I dread to think what happens in those countries where war reigns.

Somehow the fate of children is brushed under the carpet by MSM. There must be millions of children orphaned by wars in our world.

Children are sacred to me and should ALWAYS be put first in their needs.

Heb. U. Paper Finds: IDF Has Political Motives for Not Raping

Hebrew University committee prize-winning paper finds that the lack of IDF rapes of Palestinian women is designed to serve a political purpose.

Heb. U. Paper Finds: IDF Has Political Motives for Not Raping

meh... you mean the lack of media attention about it serves a political purpose or the fact that a lot of information is 404d very quickly?

this is the video of them arresting and taking the MOTHER away:

plenty of 'alternative videos on youtube' but this one is gold. They arrested and took away a foreign reporter also.

yes it is a horrible reality...after reading info and watching the video... why didn't they keep the children with their Mother?

also, why did they arrest a foreign journalist?

You would think that they would keep the Mother and the children together.

I wish I could say something positive, but I am in a state of utter disillusionment.

The nature of the beast and the beast is humanity.

Even on this supposed enlightened ATS children are not the main consideration.

Even the Bible confounds any sense of morality. With lines like "bashing the little ones of the enemy against rocks" because the Lord said so.

I'll temper that with Christ's words though;

"If anyone causes one of these little ones--those who believe in me--to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."

Though even Jesus says only the ones who believe in him. Did He not consider other children to be worthy of his protecting curse?

Hah! I'm sticking to my morality that all children are sacred, be they Israeli or Palestinian or any other race or religion.

I despise war and I despise violence.

Being a guy I have very limited credibility, but as a woman your words will carry more weight. I have seen much of your writing here on ATS. You are a very bright, soulful, perceptive and humane person. Power to you and I hope you keep chipping away and give your voice to speaking up for the kids.

Oddly enough I was only thinking that this very thing this morning. Yesterday I saw the destruction of Kobani (the town near the Turkish border) and its a bomb site literally - destruction unimaginable to many of us. I wondered where the children were as there is no where for them to go safely and I know about the brothels and the good prophet's liking for little girls and it has bothered me very much.

I do think that every single jihadist should not be banged into jail for a few years or given a sweet little course to resettle the darlings back into our society. I think they should be put into a chain gang and made to go back to live in the towns they destroyed and rebuild them apologising every day for the mass destruction, murder and rape many of them, the power of the gun, allowed them get away with such dispicable actions. No they don't ever join their families and come home to where they lived, they stay in the destruction they created and deal with their actions.

I don't actually know whether I could control my anger were I ever to find out someone working in the local kebab shop had been a jihadist I could not let them get away with coming back to a normal life knowing what they had done abroad and how it affected the little ones there.

It would be cheaper to organise these animals abroad doing useful work in chain gangs rather than keeping them in our prisons where they can lead ordinary lives and spread their poisonous beliefs.

Yes I do worry about the little boys and girls out there, I also worry about the poor parents whose babies died for no good reason. I cannot believe we and the usa are still arming the rebels to get assad out. If he goes Syria would be in a greater mess and the israeli's could find it very much more difficult to maintain their borders or to encroach into syria which I suspect is why they are keeping so quiet. Look at libya and other countries where our government's interfering - which is not with the agreement of the majority of the british people I am sure, has happened. Obama and cameron have as much to answer for as blair and bush, ir not more.

Powerful and humane words coming from true compassion and feeling.

your first paragraph is so powerful. If it is ok... I would like to quote it and put it in my signature. I get so upset by these things, most of the time I am lost for words but you have echoed my sentiments exactly. Thank you.

Here in the states when parents get arrested, the children go to foster care. A hell all its own.

Do we know what happens to kids like those two girls? The video cuts off.

I just hope these children after decades[if they last that long probably not] of physical and sexual abuse appreciate the sacrifice they make in helping bringing freedom and democracy to their country.

Wish there was a follow up story about it. At least we would know what happened to them.

Me too. That was awful. They will carry that trauma with them for life. The soldiers chuckled when the kids ran down the road after her.

The really weird thing I saw was how they held the girls by the arms, restraining them for no apparent reason. Then I remembered this is how they "break" baby elephants to train them to perform. They induce trauma with separation from their mother and apply restraints.

Interesting video. Thanks for sharing.

They never cover it or follow it up and the elite type organizations and even IMO the various groups that may step in, not even sure they do, are probably rackets for slavery.

Why are we not in a world where this is transparent, and where the people stand up and loudly shout out and speak up to their representatives what world they want, no war, and stand up for all the children. We have to. This is something so reprehensible, can't even sleep if you think on this at all. How can anyone ignore what's going on?

I know... I have been upset most of the day about it.

I saw the alternative versions on youtube about it and in one of them... they arrested a foreign journalist and that to me seems odd.

I suppose they didn't want the story getting out? Either way, it did but so too alternative versions. The one I posted is as accurate as I could find.

very saddening.

I think bumping this thread up, from time to time is a good thought. Not nearly enough stars and flags for such an important issue. The things that will shame us when we pass into true life, will be things like this. When a little effort regularly to express firm resolve to serve and protect children, to not vote anyone into office that allows this, they're going to be heavy weights.

We need to keep awareness growing.
