Yes! I've seen that in movies as well as pictures. You can see people randomly going to touch the statue , some even go daily(source: certain news channels put it in the background).

Apis is represented by the Bull, the Bull had to be slaughtered annually in Ancient Egyptian lore, it also was representative of Horus by the ritual slaughter.

Some say that Hollywood was formed with an occult agenda from the beginning, we just fail to recognize this, the eye and other symbols can trace their roots to the beginnings, with the establishment of Columbia pictures in 1919 and also MGM and other foundational Hollywood production entities.

What does this do with Hollywood ? the method of control and perpetual mind control has to be centralized, any method of magic or forced embedded will upon victims has to have a potent delivery method in order for the magician (s) to be successful.
Hollywood, the music industry and media (high level or well established ) have at it's core a purpose of using your desires to keep you under control and also use that individual desire to keep them in control.
Remember the the Golden calf was formed because the people grew impatient with the return of Moses with the words inscribed on the ten commandments, so what happened was they took their golden earrings, broke them and all of those that were contributed was broken down and melted into what became the golden calf.

Moses was so pissed off that when he returned from receiving the 10 commandments he threw them down on the ground and broke the tablets, or so the story goes.

What does this all mean, well what it means is right in your face, a mockery is being made of you, any beliefs in diety that you have, showing that eternally you will be a slave to your own desires and to satify your own desires you will sacrifice a piece of yourself so that someone else will become your God, and you will enjoy it.

Anyhow this is what all of the symbolism is about, it means that you are a slave to your own wants and desires, as long as this is the case there are people that will take that desire and turn it into something that will satisfy your soul.
Movies, music, entertainment(professional sports etc), high technology etc, the people at the high levels of these corporations are your true masters, and in conjunction with the financial and banking system they form the object which you continue to worship unknowingly, and at the same time these masters, modern day alchemists continue to feed off of your worldly and material desires.
This is the magic that is in full effect today, all of the symbolism are reminders that this very magic from so long ago is still in effect.
That is my belief , now whether you want to get religious about it then you can say that the beast system is all about the material world and control that lucifer has on his creations by way of corporations, trade, commerce and government, thus empowering these institutions with the hidden Luciferian light, keeping the unsuspecting in total darkness.

I think I am in agreement with you. I recently ran into a few other people that have noticed the owls as well.

I will have to dig out the list I kept for a while. I really don't watch much tv, and didn't pay attention for too terribly long, yet the amount of owl symbolism I saw, was an awful lot for it to just be a fashion statement..

I agree overall - to the OP, why not some references to your actual claim instead of the existence of the gold calf?

Best Picture winners are heavily promoted, held-over in theaters, and often brought back to theaters. They are generally heavily viewed. That's not to say that non-winners aren't. I was simply trying to get the OP to name non-obscure films to prove his claim.

No. How about you backing up your claim.

A fix to the vid you posted. Myself, I notice lots of dogs in movies. Almost every movie has a dog. Sirius infiltration? Kibble and bits? Who - just who - let the dogs out? These are concerns, and nothing to bark at.

I see owl statues on buildings all the time, probably because statues of them are put on buildings to scare away pigeons and other nusainace birds that would just poop all over them.

PLus you do not give a list of movies and SHOW us this supposed calf in these movie. SHOW us clips or something to back your feeble attempt to garnish flags and stars up!!
