At least some of us are trying instead of laying down and taking it lube free from the system. I'd rather live on my feet than die on my knees.

That's a bunch of rubbish. Why are they looting if they are so virtuous?

Are you under the misguided assumption that everyone is looting?

Those are just the unruly vandals that are using the hysteria and chaos as a way to indulge in the criminal activities they are more than likely participating in already anyway. This should not discredit the thousands that are peacefully protesting in cities all oover America like New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C etc.

I can't say I have much beef with your post, you're gonna do what you're gonna do...

But I have to question this quote -

Troll on trollas. You right wing kooks never cease to amaze me.

Check my sig, I don't subscribe to either side anymore. Due to my un-biased political stance on this, I have to ask.. Why make this political? Do you think this helps the situation? If we're going to get political, again, in my un-biased opinion, it totally looks as though the left wing liberals are playing into this hand, eating it up hook line and sinker...Sooo much racial tension against whites in general, and I'm no fan of republicans either.

I have news for you, the race-baiting trick isn't going to be very effective that much longer, especially when there are issues plaguing our country that don't just single out minorities. The victim and race card is overplayed, better start looking at the BIG picture. Calling a huge number of Americans "kooks" is not making your case better. Ron Paul was called a kook, yet he was right on almost EVERY issue, it was the media who sold the public that he was nuts. Now, the GOP is paying the consequences for allowing that to happen.

We know Obama has been pushing this agenda, it doesn't make anyone a "kook" or a racist. So you are just looking like another left-wing internet "activist" with no regard to the reality around you. Good luck!

And here I thought this was a member forum!

Anony expressed their opinion on the nature of the commentary here.

You cited Anony for not allowing others to have their own opinions.

What part of this is unclear to you? Are YOU paying attention?

The only defense to overt racism in this country is to accuse the person making the observation of "being racist" or "playing the race card."

You don't make the problem go away by pretending it doesn't exist.

And, of note, Anony is hardly the first poster in this thread to make this a political issue.

We are witnessing the self implosion of all the blue voting districts. They have been packed in like sardines living on govt handouts with lack of jobs and inadequate policing. Their dreams of Obama hope and change promises have been shattered and they are all collectively in denial. The CNN map is all the proof needed.

Yada yada, race card, yada yada, end of the Democratic party, yada, yada, the social safety net is really slavery.

Talk about needing to get a new story to tell.

It's statements like this that keep people thinking this fire needs to continue to be fueled.

Are you telling me the "problem" of racism against whites, or anyone else who doesn't tag the black community as "victims" being labeled as racist bigots doesn't exist? It may not have existed 40 years ago, but it sure as hell does now. I think you need to stop and realize THAT fact.

What this is about is a community full of criminals who have no respect for anything or anyone, not even one another, where a cop felt the need to defend his life from a criminal who had just robbed a store and attacked him.

Basically, its about a community who does not believe in taking responsibility for their own actions. They have proved that in spades. If you want to know what someone or something is about, watch its actions.. which now we have.

The system itself is not broken. In case everyone hasn't noticed, its the people who are broken. Until we fix us, we can never fix our problems.

What it is about is a community fed up with perceived social injustices and them continually feeling that they are marginalized and given the short end of the stick. If you think thousands of people are out protesting a single incident, then you would be wrong. It's a culmination of injustices that lead to a precipice, which we are witnessing today. This incident is just a lightning rod that has mainly been fueled by social media. Even the inevitable fallout was again fueled by the media.

The issues that need to be addressed are sociological; specifically economic, educational, and racial discussions/advancement. This is how we can work towards fixing our problems, not your racist tirades disguised as informed enlightenment.

You're right, 40 years ago this sort of thing happened.
Wikipedia - Fred Hampton

Upon arrival, they were met by O'Neal, who had prepared a late dinner, which the group ate around midnight. O'Neal had slipped the powerful barbiturate sleep agent, secobarbitol, into a drink that Hampton consumed during the dinner, in order to sedate Hampton so he would not awaken during the subsequent raid.
...
The raid was organized by the office of Cook County State's Attorney Edward Hanrahan, using officers attached to his office.[14] Hanrahan had recently been the subject of a large amount of public criticism by Hampton, who had made speeches about how Hanrahan's talk about a "war on gangs" was really rhetoric used to enable him to carry out a "war on black youth".[15]

At 4:00 a.m., the heavily armed police team arrived at the site, divided into two teams, eight for the front of the building and six for the rear. At 4:45 a.m., they stormed into the apartment.

Mark Clark, sitting in the front room of the apartment with a shotgun in his lap, was on security duty. He was shot in the heart and died instantly.[16] His gun fired a single round which was later determined to be caused by a reflexive death convulsion after the raiding team shot him; this was the only shot the Panthers fired.[4][17][18]

Automatic gunfire then converged at the head of the south bedroom where Hampton slept, unable to awaken as a result of the barbiturates the FBI infiltrator had slipped into his drink. He was lying on a mattress in the bedroom with his pregnant fiancée, who was eight-and-a-half months pregnant with their child.[16] Two officers found him wounded in the shoulder, and fellow Black Panther Harold Bell reported that he heard the following exchange:
"That's Fred Hampton."
"Is he dead?... Bring him out."
"He's barely alive.
"He'll make it."

Two shots were heard, which it was later discovered were fired point blank in Hampton's head. According to Johnson, one officer then said:
"He's good and dead now."[19]

Well, I suppose it was 45 years ago now. My, how time flies. Things have gotten better, but the knife hasn't been taken out of the wound yet.

I don't think anyone is trying to excuse the government for it's heinous acts against humanity in general. This is a conspiracy site after all...

I'm not saying the govt didn't target the poor black communities and start the gang wars on purpose. This is pretty much fact, but this has nothing to do with the general populous concerning "racism". If it reflected upon the American populous and their opinions of the black community even way back then, well, the civil rights movement would have never happened. Period.

All that government crap happened in secret and has nothing to do with racism by the American people, and has no bearing on anyone who didn't even exist then. You want to blame "whiteys" who had nothing to do with it in order to get special treatment 45 years later? That's on you. Be resentful, and keep that knife inside you, stay a victim forever. Doesn't solve a damn thing, nor does it say anything about the time we are in NOW.

Btw, star to your post for a creative and different angle, it's more refreshing than the other tired race related BS spouted day in and day out.

I believe Darren Wilson is lying and I believe the problem is not only a racial one ... Cops are out of control, on what seems like a daily basis, they manage to escalate delicate emotional situations into bloodbaths with no consequences. Its not just Cops killing blacks, they kill whites, Asians, dogs and mentally challenged people too. I hope at the very least we start to demand more accountability by law enforcement starting with constant audio and video on the cars and on the officers themselves at ALL times. So we can, you know ... see and hear what really happened every time.

It's already well known that cops can pick and chose what evidence they want. How is them video recording us a good thing? I get the argument but fail at the comprehension seeing how, you know, sometimes evidence gets lost, like IRS emails, Pentagon videos, hell even random things from evidence lockers. *sigh* to think just how awesome it would be for crooked cops to video record me........SWEET!! Can't wait. George Orwell eat your heart out!

I don't think he's lying, the evidence supports what he said - bruising to his face, the lads DNA on his trouser leg, shirt collar, inside of the car, and gun.

He'd just robbed a store and used violence against the owner, either he continued in that vein to avoid arrest and consequently assaulted the Police officer, or his attitude and demeanor changed almost instantly and he became passive and respectful and just happened to come across evil cop who was by coincidence a thug in his own right and just shot him down in cold blood.

Doesn't seem likely does it, the cop must have had plenty of opportunity to shoot down someone of a certain colour that he disliked many, many times, but he hasn't, so something this time must have made things different.

It all adds up to the cop telling the truth and the lefty liberals who love playing at being anarchists want to join the local community at playing the victims to the gubments evil empire.

I bet they all watch star wars and associate themselves and their actions with the rebel alliance.

Pathetic, people need to grow up, stop wittering on about perceived injustices that happened 300 years ago to other people, and find a way to make things better in the present.

Personally, I find his story ... weird. Here is a guy that just robbed a store, walking in the middle of the street and when politely asked to use the sidewalk by a cop tells him to "F' Off" and attacks him. I am not saying Brown is innocent but I also have no doubt that a cop would lie in any court to save his own butt. My point is that, in this day and age, we have the tech to eliminate the speculation and see and hear an event as it truly happened.

Many of use have been pushing for police to ware cameras. Some of use have made ground with it and the local areas have been doing so. But it's still not required and not regulated very well.

I for one would like to see a camera on the body of the police and one on the gun as well. That way police don't have to waste as much time in court proving what happened, and the media has a harder time fanning the fires to get a better story. All the shootings are a clear and cut reason for camera and the added regulation for them in all states.

Compared to other countries, combined, including yours the civilian body count from cop related deaths (good luck finding the actual statistic for the US) makes it look like we are at war over here ...

I cant belive that some can write here, after watching a well built thug, bully and rob a shop keeper and then find it difficult to understand why he might have ended up dead in a society where you value guns.

In the UK, there are very few death by cop, there are no less racist cops nor less criminals. Possible that there are fewer black folk in the minority, we probably have more white poor minority. In any case, its usually the poor minority complaining they are hard done to.

My point is, the scum, be it white scum or non white scum, they are the lowest of the low, the ones causing problems for police, for those people who are locked in their houses hiding from this scum who are the rioters or the looters who would be robbing their houses, mugging them or making their lives difficult if they werent complaing that one of their own scum bags was shot dead.

So you demand the right to bear arms, you will likely be shot dead in a tense environment, so suck it up, the fact he was killed means little in a land of guns, its always going to hapend, always.

So the crux of this in my opiion is criminal robbed shop, criminal was being aggressive, criminal was dealt with in accordance with the wishes of all AMericans of the right to bear arms.

You reap what you sow, I have no sympathy for the dead scumbag, only a feeling of justice.

If you had fewer guns, you would have frewer deaths, be those innocent misjudged death by police, by homeowners, by children playing with parents guns....haha, you get what you ask for.

Looks at lot like a bunch of bored kids and slackers who have found an excuse to act like hoodlums.

Destructive protests and harassing people do nothing to help the 'supposed' cause.

These people can't be up most of the night and go to a job and be productive.

The first crime committed was the robbery. Maybe the poor bloke who was robbed should have got his friends and family together, gone over to Browns house and turned over his families cars....set fire to all of their possessions and destroyed their lives. you are all so focused on guilty or innocent...black/white etc etc
