According the narrative and the grand jury evidence, Brown had already been shot, in the hand at least. Wilson also gave Brown ample time to surrender. It was only after Brown turned and charged did Wilson fire the fatal shots.

But several shots to the legs would have taken him down.... he had ample chance when he decided to pursue Brown.

And I bet Brown could dodge bullets like in the Matrix. Or that Wilson could bend bullet paths like the bad Angelina movie.

There is a reason why ALL people are taught to aim for center mass. Instead of being ignorant and offering "movie" based fictions as real world solutions, please go and research this.

Shooting him in the hand will not drop him to the ground.... shooting him in the legs would have.
He also had two legs, a far easier shot that aiming for his head.
Unless of course he wanted to kill him.

Meh...

Whatever.

I know all about tasers. It's an option Wilson didn't have access to unfortunately. You never know what will get the job done.

Of course, I know what the targets look like.
It's all good.

A no good thug off the streets eh?
One less to worry about.

This is exactly why America and people like you are seen as Insane, raving lunatics.

And that means what to me, exactly???

Bloodlust and a hard-on for shooting people.
Look at me me wrong, I'll shoot & kill you.... step to me, I'll shoot & kill you.... Swing a punch at me.. well, because I'm a pussy, I'll shoot & kill you.

Please, I beg you. Pretty please with all the sugar in the world on top show us where I stated I wanted to shot anyone.

A police officer has a duty to try and maim the suspect, so that he can be brought to justice, you know, actual, real justice.

Oh, I would really like to see exactly that law/policy you are speaking of.

A court of law... not for the officer to be judge, jury and executioner.

Wilson didn't act as such. He reacted to being attacked.
Very simple. Don't attack a LEO, or anyone else, if don't want to possibly be shot.

Utterly pathetic.

Ahhh, that really makes me want to cry.

Hey, I agree. I like ALL tools to be available.

But, a tazer is not a cure all, one stop tool.

I wonder if Michael Browns step dad will be charged with insighting a riot after his "Burn this B**** to the ground" speech it seems he got what he was protesting for, they did burn some buildings to the ground, where's the justice for the business owners. I was horrified as I watched on CNN last night a large group of people acting like idiots and criminals looting and burning down their community.

As macman stated above, police and military are trained to aim for center mass. Most police aren't trickshots and can't take out kneecaps (Which would be the only effective way to stop his forward movement. Shots to the leg muscle aren't necessarily a guaranteed stopper) on a moving target while adrenaline is flowing. I'm sure wilson wasn't aiming for his head either. The guy basically magdumped in a panic because this huge guy was barreling toward despite having already been shot and told to surrender.

The common denominator is systemic injustice and disenfranchisement.

I agree. And until people come to an understanding of this, and something is done to balance the order, whatever that may be, the injustice will continue.

The symptoms and side effects can be seen all throughout society, some and most of which are very subtle, and go unnoticed.

I think we as a public should come to terms with the reality of this, not the narrative being created by the media and it's conglomerates, who profit heavily from all sides.

Until we as a nation reject injustice for all, we will continue to be plagued by inequality, and what we see happening in Ferguson will be an ongoing, par for the course.

Another Race Pimp arrives on scene.

Well, I bet Ferguson is grateful he is there. Maybe he was delayed due to some tax issues he hasn't resolved yet.

Mike Brown seemed like a good, misunderstood kid... When I was in HS and around 18 I remember taking pictures with guns and wads of cash to... I guess the media doesn't want you to know that he was in fact a thug, but instead lets keep calling him an "unarmed black teen/child"... I know lots of teens and children and none of them act like this...

then I guess, according to you, the officer did his job. here's a picture of a thug holding a piece, with a smile on face, while he is pulling the trigger...
pbs.twimg.com...

bet you wouldn't find young black people doing this anywhere in America without being arrested or shot...

Sharpton has made a career out of blowing racial injustice WAY out of proportion. I wonder what he's saying. I'm at work right now and can't watch any news.

Till you walk in the shoes of a cop, you have no real idea what and who they deal with on a daily basis. Politicians and others including Obama keep calling for a "conversation" and a fix for incidents like this.

Fix it by fixing the people that think it's okay to casually steal from a small grocery store owner, push him around and saunter out the door like he has a right to take whatever he wants, then walk out in the middle of the street and hold up traffic.

Fix it by fixing people that think it's okay to reach in a police cruiser and strong arm a smaller man because, after all, you stand 6'4" and weigh almost 300 lbs. and you can.

Fix it by fixing people that think they can charge a man like a bull, take his firearm, and do whatever he decides to do.

Fix it by fixing communities long managed by corrupt politicians that take government money to "fix" problems, but just make them worse.

Fix it by fixing the you-owe-me mentality, the gangsta mentality, and the disrespect for law mentality.

Then, maybe law enforcement that deal with it everyday won't have to worry so much about their own life.

Then, go ahead and use more cameras and audio in confrontational situations.

Then, work on relationships between the community and the police departments.

Yes we complied. Had we taken off it would've turned out very differently but you have to consider the crime.

My husband was suspected of trying to run someone over. Brown was suspected of shop lifting. If police failed to pursue/stop my hubby he could've killed me. If Brown had gotten away a warrant could've been issued, maybe put his picture on the news etc. I don't think Brown posed an immediate threat to the public until the officer escalated the situation.

Brown acted like a bully/idiot at the store but he wasn't armed or trying to kill anyone. Just my opinion.

Of course Rev. Al would show up, he has a crap load of taxes to pay off (or possibly go to jail for tax evasion) so he will milk this as far as he can. He doesn't really care about the Browns...he only cares about the Benjamins.
