Why was Michael Brown's mother in the crowd last night? Shouldn't she have stayed home for her own protection? Her cries, when the verdict was announced, only made the protestors angry.

I don't know, this just seems odd to me. She was begging for protestors to keep it peaceful, yet she was out on the streets herself.

Not blaming her or anything; I just found it a little baffling.

That is incorrect.

Brown was shot in the hand when he reached into the police car to assault the officer and try to take his gun. Brown then briefly ran away and the officer gave chase. Brown turned around and then ran back towards the officer 'football player style with his head down'. The officer feared for his life and shot brown. The 'kill shot' was either the one in the forehead or the one that went in through the top of the head.

Brown was over six feet tall and over 250 pounds. He was a full grown man and extremely angry and threatening. The evidence all supports the police version of events. There is forensic evidence as well as an audio recording of the gunshots. Most of the supposed 'eyewitness' testimony was discredited and proven to be lies. The few eyewitness testimonies that turned out to be credible matched the forensics and they stated that Brown ran towards the cop 'football player style'.

Bottom line - Brown was a thief and a thug who attacked a cop, and the cop did the correct thing by shooting Brown.

The protesters don't care about the facts. They just want their stolen sneakers and stolen booze from the looted liquor store, and they just want to burn down the business' of innocent people and rule by mob mentality. Idiots.

I dunno if its that they want to loot, i just think they built up a ton of momentum on this thing and rather than cool off and admit they were wrong they all doubled down in a play to save face. Theres tons of people killed by police that are arguably unjustified. This one isnt though, they picked the wrong case to go all in on and now theyre committed. Its stupid.

And this is why things are the way they are in St.Louis. You have too many with this attitude that somehow think they are 'owed' and that its time to pay up. Well guess what,your going to get more than you ever expected.Your just not going to like it.Anybody that walks around thinking they are owed something in this world are delusional at best,and megalomaniac at worst.They comfort themselves by thinking they are 'owed' and don't look at themselves to try to better themselves. In the meantime their lives never improve and they grow older and more bitter as time passes on. One day they wake up and realize they have spent their whole lives waiting for something to happen that was never going to be. It was a life spent in limbo for them,and they have no one to blame but themselves. You can not live your life in a holding pattern waiting for something better to come along,that day never comes. It is only when you go out and make things happen that you finally will get what you really deserve.

You don't know much about Dr King, to think to try and co-op him. Dr King was very 'racist' if thats what you would call it. He wanted full reperations, didn't trust his white supporters and was frustrated by the patronising attitude of many whites, not the openly racist ones, but those that sought to help him.

He was a very complex figure and you'd probably be surprised at his views, which are there for you to read in some of his books.

You're a grown man, and extremely threatening. A thug who can be shot in the street like a dog, whose corpse was left on full display, and half of America will celebrate it.

Meanwhile, a 6 foot tall white teenager is the captain of the football team, and a local celebrity.

I hope you all realize the Ferguson Police Force ARE TPTB and this is the most transparent look we will ever get of the way they work, if you let yourselves see it. Jim Crow never ended and TPTB have an interest in keeping it going indefinitely.

Firstly the looting and violence should have no bearing on what happened when Brown was shot.

If a police officer who is armed and chasing a suspect needs to shoot at him more than a couple of times, then they're in the wrong job.

You shoot his legs, you shoot to maim... you don't just unload just because you know the law is on your side.
Anybody claiming that the killing of an unarmed suspect is "justified" is an absolute idiot.
Maybe we just do things differently, but in the US... you have a serious problem with police officers getting a hard-on for just shooting people... mostly unarmed people that they could quite easily take down or subdue in a non-lethal manner.

I mean there were people trying to justify this a couple of months back when this footage was released
It seems the police get a free pass from some, no matter what they do.

Wilson said Brown matched the description of the 'strong arm robber' that went over the radio. He had tried to get Brown out of the street and Brown in turn attacked the cop in the cop car. That is indisputable. Brown attacked the cop in the car. The forensic evidence proves this. And the forensic evidence proves that Brown was shot dead while coming at the cop in the street.

The cop did the right thing. Brown is dead because of his own actions.

When does reparations for slavery end?

When does the race card not get played out on every level?

When do people actually step up and take responsibility for their own actions and life?

Na it's better to take all the time given in life and whine, complain, and do destructive things instead of trying to better oneself.

Straw man and absurd. A thug who was shot in the street because he tried to steal a cops gun and was attacking a police officer. And no, half of America isn't celebrating.

If he's not out robbing cigar stores and attacking cops, then that captain of the football team would deserve to be treated well, no matter what his skin color is.

Felonies come in more classes than just A and B. Just thought you might want to know that. Oh and they cvan also be downgraded from felonies to misdemeanors.
