OP: Why isn't Satan admired more?

Well, according to Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, he quit. Tossed everyone out of Hell and left the key with our hero Morpheus. If we are to further believe the spin-off series Lucifer, he owned and ran a popular night club in LA for a while, but then God called and wondered "What the Hell are you doing Lou?" Literally.

Oh,something with you're answer pinged in my head: It was maybe in Roman Christian Empire times, when Lucy was invented! What does it say: Lucy seduces people to do "wrong": follow the enjoyment of carnal lust! All the pagan religions worshipped the mother/earth/moon/things-like-that as god, right?
So you might be totally right! It was invented to stop that! Thanks

An evil arch type was always separated from regular male and female sort of deities. Benevolent male and female father sky mother earth sort of things. A Satan sort of figure, bad person be it male or female is really separated.

The Romans in many case, look into it, used the double lighting bolt sort of things on their shields. This stems really from an ancient female war goddess deities.

A separate very important female deity widely, like culturally saturated, in Rome was the female god associated with what later became mother Mary but more specifically Queen of Heaven, but is very much older than Rome, is the chief mourner for the dead. Goes back to the beginning of the dope show.

Its all a big convoluted mess. However interesting to note many cultures had a male as seducer archetype. Pan ect. Bad types succubus/incubus covered both genders. Good types. There is no real case that female goods and archetypes were suppressed by pagan cultures big and small.

Just look at the Statue of Liberty.

Name one, in greek myth, or ancient nordic, that is pure evil?

I couldn't think of any. Pan is not a bad guy, he is whine and party, but also was the god of arts. Theaters and stuff where mostly dedicated to him. The seperated evil is pure Christian and Islamic.

garm from nordic mythology, basically a dog.

any of the spirits unleashed from pandora box in greek mythology.

the difference in respect to the good/evil aspect of mythology between greek or nordic and christianity/islam is that the spectrum was drastically downsized and condensed to a handful of major characters and a scattering of minor ones that basically represent the two camps. proportionately, the head figments of each camp are that much more powerful in attribute and scope of responsibility.

You say dog like its a bad thing

The point is, in mythology they were a lot closer to human nature. No human is entirely evil. Or good.

Crowdsourcing extraordinaire...rivalry amongst teams...you're either with us, or against us...we are the champions...PR department nails it...Ronald without the Hamburglar?...roadrunner minus coyote?...

Why such a bad rap?

The dynamics work better with resistance...even a manufactured resistance...

Your are living in a world where Satan is in charge, you got to remember he is the God of this world till Yeshau returns and he was cast down to this world and given a chance to rule for a short time. Notice he can't fix the world or bring peace and as his time runs out he will force the one world government into place.

Team satan has topped the tables for quite a while...what will happen when the star player returns?...the managers are keeping quiet on this one...no-one knows the time of my return...stay tuned for the continuing drama...armageddon's no fun, too spoiler alert, dangerous anticipation while stirring the pot of generations of imagination...waiting for a sign, prophesies conjecturing with imagination on the trigger finger of the final scene - or countdown - or anticipated world cup series...brilliant PR...

I think you have the wrong idea about Satan he did not rebel agianst God because he thought he was cruel or any sort of noble cause like that. He rebellion was a selfish grab for power. He saw the power God had and was envious and wanted it for himself. The reason Satan seems like he doesn't want you to worry about burning in a lake of fire is because that's exactly what he wants. He wants the people of the world to live in the now and sin so they can be punished with him. He's not some being looking out for the little guy wanting people to have a good time. He wants to share his punishment with as many people as possible. As the saying goes, misery loves company.

The soil of Eden was red. Adam as noun means 'red ocre' in adition to 'man' or 'human' and as a adjective it means 'ruddy'. Is Genesis 2 about some ancient colony on Mars? With Noah's Ark being a spaceship, the Flood - space and his collection of species some kind of genetic database?

You have a point there. I would say that the pure evil worshipers didn't see their evil god as evil. Going back to the Hebrew prophets we see them mocking gods of the surrounding nations. Mocking them as not being gods at all and yet demanding baby sacrifices ect.

Now listen, my only point here is that those pagan gods were not seen really as evil by the surrounding nations that employed then but as a power that must be recognized and placated. The Hebrew God was telling His people that these pagan gods were a joke. And certainly the high priest of the gods of the surrounding nations were telling their kings that the Hebrew god was a bad guy. Take Pharos and the Hebrews which god is more powerful pissing contest. Naturally the Egyptian god couldn't do much pissing.

The real question in this thread may be who's side is one really on.
