Dear Child (Poem)

As I looked into Her eyes,
beautifully lit from within,
I couldn't help but notice,
the tiny cleft in in Her little chin.

Such a beauty She was,
and is still in every little way.
She continues to be source of amazement,
to Me this very Day.

How could one such as this,
still Love Me so unshakingly,
As I am full of problems,
that I certainly could not foresee.

At the time We first met,
trouble came at Me from hind and fore,
And never seemed to let Me rest,
and was always at My door.

She now shakes off My problems,
with an ease and all in stride.
She Loves Me unconditionally,
and is always at My side.

In the time that it has taken Her,
to grow to the Adult I knew She'd be,
She has always been My one True Love
and is the first Child born to Me.

To My Dear Daughter Jessica.
(She is alive and Well!)

would be nice if all parents wrote a poem for their kids ( even if no talent )

That is beautiful. You made me smile as your poem reminds me of my daughter. She is away at school and I miss her terribly.

Thanx! I am lucky and can see Mine nearly every day now. Her Mom and I moved closer to Her!
Left Our Home of over 23 years to do it!

My first child, was my only daughter, as well.
They get plenty to handle when they inherit...us.

a reply to: SyxPak Thats wonderful. Nothing like being close to your kids. I would move next to her in heart beat, but she will be moving home after her four years are over. In the mean time, seeing her once every couple of months will have to do.

Awww, Sorry!!! I didn't mean to spark sadness......
I don't have to tell You then, that just be sure to make every minute of those visits count!!! We only have one Family.
I did have some probs with My step daughter (not the one in this Poem.) for yrs though. Finally decided to just let it go. It's now better for Us all as We finally get along! Things have a way of working out in the end......

She's a great young lady. Her head is on straight. She know exactly what she wants and is out to get it. She's a keeper and we are very proud of her.
