Like I said around Monterey they found the same kind of Anchors the Chinese would have used around that time. I think Scott Wolters on unearthing America touched on the subject and said it was quite possible. I will read the other links later

It's also a shame that you chime in about Chinese anchors only a few posts after these anchors were completely explained as anchors made from local stone and used in the area in 19th and early 20th Centuries.
