Made it out of the ravine, only slight radiation burn to the paint on my suv.

Going to get a hotel room and catch up on Oprah.

I suspect that the point of this little exercise is the same as Orson Welles' in his infamous War of the Worlds broadcast. Events in Europe at the time seemed far away to Americans. Welles' broadcast placed his listeners in the place of the Central Europeans whose homelands were being invaded by Hitler's war machine. Perhaps some of the North Americans who have been cheering Putin's flagrant aggression towards Ukraine might want to consider how we would feel if a neighboring power were arming, funding and controlling separatists in their own country.
