was I in heaven?

I was once on the brink of sleep when I had a vision which startles me.

As I lay horizontally on my bed, as my eyes were very heavy, I slipped into the vision\dream world. In an instant I grew physically in size until I was over 1 000 000 x larger than our entire universe!

I was in a new land. I perceived our universe was just a molecule floating somewhere in the air in this new land. I perceived also that if I wanted to I could go back anytime. It was not lost.

I was floating in the light blue sky with wisps of white cloud around me and something like the sun was shining (but not the sun) and filling me with joy, happiness and wonder. It also filled this land with a warm light. I could communicate with the light in my thoughts as I floated there in the sky. I looked down to my left and saw seven giant creatures (looked like trolls\humans) walking in a line on top of a mountain ridge holding clubs but for working purposes not for war. They were bright multicolored and were grinning, giggling and smiling. I could tell they were gentle.

I looked down to my right and saw villages and cities (inhabited by men and woman) and fields of fresh green well manicured and tended grass growing in grassy fields around the villages and cities.

I wanted to go down to see more when all of a sudden before me was the top end of a giant light blue slide which led down and ended on top in the middle of a crystal clear lake, so I slid down the slide. By my own will power I slowed my descent near the bottom of the slide (will power is stronger than gravity in this land) and I glided off the slide and I stood on the water!

The sun stayed with me in proportion. If I moved, it moved. In other words it was always the same distance away from me no matter where I moved to and yet it still stayed in the same place shining beautiful warm light on all the land, it was breathtaking.

Also in this land everything was eternally new. Nothing degraded or got dust on. Everything had that new smell.

After standing on the water in my vision I closed my eyes for a second and when I opened them I was back on my bed again in my dark room.

I perceived there were infinite realms I could visit all depending on how small or big I shrunk or grew all teeming with life. I believe my body is the only thing for now keeping me from experiencing this for real.

Its amazing how we as humans are so concerned with exploring the universe (which is relative in size for us) think bigger, think smaller, think infinity!

in any case a type of OBE experience or astral projection

just the type of place for a re-charging-of-the-spirit visit, every now & then

Your relative size as a mode of travel to parallel universes, that is an interesting concept. It reminds me some what of Gulliver's Travels, being in a land of giants and then little people.

As a description of a higher realm, built on micro-universes, it resembles the description of the realm of the nature spirits and fairies. Time and space there must be entirely different from here, but it seems to have taken a recognizable form that resembles our 4 dimensions. We just might be a Who form "Horton Hears a Who", a super small sub-atomic particle building block of an enormous other world we can't normally experience.

What we experience as our universe, as vast as that is to us, is merely the low spark of high-heeled boys.

If it was heaven then heaven is nothing like THIS place - I forgot to mention I had no body but I could still sense my arms, legs, etc. Like an energy that can't die Oh and I was immortal. And one more thing, the spirit of every soul\creature there was at peace with the environment. It was really magical. I wonder what really does this mortal coil of mine keeps inside? I wonder who I really am when I'm no longer constrained in my body?

Best quote ever from movie ever after with drew barrymore, the prince says to her "I feel like its only my body that keeps me from flying off in every direction at once."

That's a really cool experience.

Every molecule is a universe. That'd change some sciences as we know them. I had an experience where I closed my eyes to sleep and basically woke up somewhere else. Like awareness returning there and leaving here. The world was an exaggerated version of this one basically. I could jump a little higher, walk a little faster, buildings looked different enough to be visually a new place, but the same enough that they were some off-shoot of what I was used to. It was also one of those experiences I could not "wake up" from. I tried. Didn't work. I gave up on it for a bit, moved on in the world, before eventually waking up normally.

If those infinite realities are out there, and I believe they are, it's probably simply a matter of focus, intentional or accidental, that can take us there. Perhaps reality is simply the bed we wake up in most often.

Any idea what triggered this experience?

It sounds similar to a lot of NDE's where people describe how the mind works and how things happen in Heaven...

Dr. Eby's is one good example:

Excitedly I stopped to pick some flowers, and found them already in my hand. They too were "playing" the tune.
