Okay so am seeing this turned out to be a hoax. Hah shouldn't the news on Ebola verify that anyway?

Well, if Big Pharma can cash it on it now because attention is being called to it, there will be more news. Make no doubts on that!

We stand silently in the sidewalk when they take away yet another vomiting fellow citizen. No traces left, he just vanishes, goes to safe place, nobody asks where. They surely tell us if there is anything to be told.

We are safe!

The US media fell in line with all the other countries (except Australia apparently) of not reporting any Ebola cases.

Also, all the reporters that were in Africa reporting on the cases are either murdered, dead, or they fled the area. As a result, no-one has a finger on what is really going on over there.

As for the western media, maybe it was a peer pressure thing, falling in line with all the other countries. (No Ebola anywhere in the world now, except in W. Africa). IMHO, the stifling is good in a way, because it would have really gotten out of control during flu season.

Let's just hope that they are not sitting on a drum of dynamite. I'm still not sure that - that cannot happen. You know... the sudden, unanticipated bursting forth of cases like rats running out of a barrel.

It's a good thing they got the media to stop reminding people that it is in fact a good thing to have borders. Full speed ahead on abolishing those terrible and unfair things!!

Is this sarcasm?
USA's ''Borders'' are imaginary lines, drawn up after the genocide of the natives (who also know about infectious disease).
Borders existed back then but The Euros ignored all that and took it.

It's of the same tone of people who say "Our Immigration policy should be more like Australias", Australia being a country who's policy is now made by Immigrants.

Or, things are quiet about Ebola because those who would fire up the country about this non-existant threat have been proven to not know what the heck they were talking about, and people are now ignoring them. Ebola is not spreading. You know anyone with Ebola? You know anyone who knows anyone with Ebola? News Flash - You're not going to get Ebola.

Already scientist has predicted that ebola will never become a pandemic in the US, that is been verified, but more cases will be expected anyway, that is something we can not stop, due to visitors and health care personnel coming into the US from infected countries, but still we have big pharma and the government that have spend millions in vaccines, we are no done with ebola scaremongering yet.

I will give it another month before it starts all over again, just right before Jan.

If ever there was a great example about how some people here don't really care about the truth this is it.

Taking a lie and running with it...isn't that exactly what you are saying you hate about the media and the government that allegedly controls it?

And yet here you are...taking a lie and running with it.

Well played.

I noticed that also, but I guess people have the right to their own believes and opinions.

Of course they are. But most of the opinions on this thread are either not on topic or based on the faulty premise in the OP. Guess that just doesn't matter around here anymore. Opine away. I give up.

Don't give up, I have not, even when I feel like it, but I know things are going to change in the coming weeks, just wait, its going to happen.

I love how the government plays with the media and the people for desirable results, is actually quite amusing and worth the wait.

Oh, really? How can or does one person's opinion or speculation, backed up by absolutely no facts but one blogger's unproven statement, give credence to anything?

Well I guess I better be careful on how I word my posts. I didn't expect people to take it so personal. Geesh.

So basically, don't report on Ebola unless it's a confirmed case...I agree, what's the problem with that?

I certainly don't need to hear about every instance of someone throwing up at an airport.

Or maybe Ebola isn't in the news because it was...you know...pretty overblown to begin with. Just a thought.

You do realize, of course, that the #1 pastime of the indigenous population prior to the arrival of Europeans was...killing the hell out of each other, right? What am I saying, of course you don't.

Maybe it's all quiet in the news because the faux outrage has worn off and Ebola was not as much a threat as we were led to believe.

The media and politicians played it for all it's worth and now they will move on to the next issue that will cause us to shake in our boots and fear the end of the world.

This is a major question, is the constant fear creation in the media an unconscious thing, as a "mirror" to society, or a conscious thing. I think it is a mixture of both. Some of it is just creating stuff for ratings.

But it does seem like they are trying to always whip us up.
