Ladies and gentlemen

I'm a free thinking man. I think what I want and make up my own mind about things based on linear thought and logic wrapped up in the ribbon of observable information (things I can see, hear, touch, taste and smell.) Memory is not a sixth sense because it can be manipulated and neither are dreams or unconsciousness or altered state experiences. A good example of a sixth sense would be ESP (if it could be validated and worked 100% of the time). I once had a dream where I grew in size until I out grew our known universe and kept growing until I was big enough to be normal size in a place I will describe in a forthcoming dream thread. Our universe was an oxygen particle (microscopic and bountiful) I perceived that before I reached the correct proportionate size I did not (or could not) perceive this realm exists just as an earthworm can not perceive the houses of parliament.... I saw this in a DREAM... I was not dead.

I have had a dream (after a few days of actively practicing spiritual level imagining)... I have had an answer to a question I have been asking for many years AND... I have had a conversation with THE GOD which freaked me out so entirely I asked Him to change the subject and I have never asked Him about it again (about 6 years ago)! This thread is about the answer I got after asking the same question for many years. (I will make two more threads, one with my dream and one with my conversation with God to come later.)

I want to give you the answer to the question I have been asking for many years and see if any of you can work out the question.

Before you were born you had no memories except darkness and then all of a sudden something miraculous happened and for your first time (through brand new newly formed closed eyelids) you saw light while still in your mothers womb! (I did say through closed eyelids, eyelids don't block 100% of light from our eyes. Light is still perceptible through our eyelids.)

In the womb you lived (for 9 months), you absorbed nutrients, you grew, you perceived light, you perceived sounds and impacts and you were warm, satisfied, cared for, comfortable and for 9 months this was all you knew. This was your world.

The thing is though, you can't stay in the womb forever (not designed that way) toward the end of your term though you could recognize only the lowest levels events which came from outside the womb you could not possibly imaging the world you were coming into, the one for which you being prepared for.

Then came a tunnel of light, which you moved through and came out of and felt for the first time wind on your skin.

The answer I have is to look to the nature, specifically to the miraculous picture of a baby in its womb.

This is a picture of what's to come.

Oh, the baby is also joined by an umbilical cord to the mother.

As inept as a incubating human fetus is at trying to imaging a world it is moving into, so inept are we at trying to imaging the word we are moving into. The coming existence is proportionately (may be even more so) as diverse to this current world as the world of the womb is to this world. We also all have unseen barely perceived umbilical cords connecting us to the next world which feeds us.

We have more free will in this world as a baby in a womb has but that just means the next world will be far, far, far superior to this world MORE than anything we can currently think or imagine.

I believe this is true.

I have accepted that I will never have all the answers here and while I'm not eager to end prematurely this life I current live, I am so damm excited (and nervous) to be born into the next life for which I am now being prepared, the one I will eventually get to once I have passed through (my tunnel of light) the event horizon which separates us from the next life.

There are so many things in this analogy we could explore like the next life is already all around the baby separated only by a thin layer of skin? Could the next life already be all around us?

Peace.

I would say that this world is almost hellish in nature. I mean we living in a brutal world where nearly every living creature kills every other living thing in a violent game of strong survive, weak perish. Not sure how superior the next world could possibly be. I do find it fascinating that so many want to believe in a utopia-ish afterlife. it speaks a lot of our fears about death as a species. We take our ideas about metaphysical good and evil, and we try to envision places where these ideologies will be shining examples. Streets of gold. Pits of fire. Amazing places far superior to our current world. Not sure I buy it, honestly.

This is an interesting thread, imo, but I'm unable to "play", since I don't agree with this premise of yours:

"...Before you were born you had no memories except darkness and then all of a sudden something miraculous happened and for your first time (through brand new newly formed closed eyelids) you saw light while still in your mothers womb!..."

I believe in reincarnation. I believe all souls were created simultaneously. I believe we live in utopia before and after 'lives' (no matter what planet, universe, etc.). Therefore, we would have memories, not darkness, before being 'currently' born, and of course, after dying...and seeing the light through newly-formed fetal eyelids would not be a first time occurrence.

Not everyone would agree, but I hate guessing games: You give us the answer and we have to figure out the question. Imo, that took away from the thread...

I do hope, though, that you get many well-thought-out responses!

I remember viewing something rather a pertinent regarding your thread on Dr Who last night.

"If babies had the ability to communicate with other babies, in other wombs, what would they say to one another regarding their interpretation of reality? From their perspective the universe is only the womb, life lasts only nine months, then you drop through a hole in the floor."

Considering its all about perspective and our perspective is shall we say rather limited, who knows what's to come?

Last night you say? Thanks. I take this as a good sign that I'm on the right path as I don't believe in coincedence.

Appologies! I thought the nature of the thread made it clear what the question was
the question is why is there a tunnel and why is there light?

"the question is why is there a tunnel and why is there light?"

Possibly because when we die our consciousness returns or becomes an energy based life form. Plasma seems to be synonymous with higher states of energy and is also the most abundant form of ordinary matter in our universe. Plasma generates light hence light at the end of the tunnel?

Can you tell me why you chose the term at play and not at work? Do you also thing that we are the butt of a big joke and in the end we will get to laugh everything off and get on with the freedom of existing without the trappings of our "tents of flesh?"

Yes that does tie in nicely with my theory
we die and become energy and are born into the next realm

"Can you tell me why you chose the term at play and not at work?"

Work or play depends on perception.

"Do you also thing that we are the butt of a big joke and in the end we will get to laugh everything off and get on with the freedom of existing without the trappings of our "tents of flesh?"

That's a possibility, as to us being a joke, or our own perception of life being a joke, I imagine that depends on what we learn along the way. Let's just say i hope there's more to our existence other than our limited interpretation of reality.

These days i find myself subscribing to the holographic principle more and more or possibly our individual consciousness are Boltzmann brains somehow trapped by our own will or imprisoned in some other fashion in this third dimension? As to the rhyme and reason of it all, i don't think we really ever will have the tools at our disposal to understand the grand scheme of things, in any case it would take all the fun out of existence.

Why is there a light at the end of the tunnel?...

.... because there is a freight train coming your way.

So did you get hit by a freight train when you were born?

In a way, yes. What else would you call this physical existence? It is one "problem" after another from the day you are born till the end of your life.
I was intending to make light of your topic and waste no opportunity to throw down a little Metallica.

So how ARE the drugs in south Africa? You seem to be on a major trip right now.

This was the most basic concept I had to learn in psychology. There is a light at the end of the tunell because neurons are firing rapidly in the stage right before. When you're at the point of death, every single in your brain is firing off at once, causing a spark like effect. Picture an alive brain as the boring beginning of a fireworks show, and death as the grand finale.

Your five senses are merely measurement tools, they transmit information to the brain and the brain translates it. However, the brain itself is responsible for perception. Therefore, a blind man can see, and a deaf man can hear, if only inside their head.

You are capable of feelins, seeing, hearing your brain as its dying. It sounds like a high frequency, low volume buzzing, looks like light at the end of the tunnel, and feels like a non-jolting, painless shock.

****EDIT**** As for thr tunnel, that explanation is easy. In rudimentary art, they teach you how to draw two parallel lines that look as if they create a road that is going off in the distance, wider at the start, more narrow at the end.
Think of your eyes as the parallel lines. Not your eyes persay, but rather their respective lines of sight. The brain is the observer of the painting. Your eyes are the artist conveying the road, or in this case, a tunnel.

Lol, I don't do drugs and I used to enjoy metallica until I stopped listening to the music and started listening to the lyrics. So perhaps a freighttrain (metaphorical) will hit us in the next life too, but I doubt it.

I appreciate your attempt at (you did make me chuckle) humor, thanks. Sorry its a valid (metaphorical) point you raised.

I've done the spirit molecule and I can say that the universe as a whole changed after the fact. The quantum structure became less stable and spooky action became more frequent. I can say for a fact that it wasn't my perception that changed, as I am neutral and not biased towards any side of any story. Something fishy is at play here.
