I'm writing this before I forget. I was laying down because I have to work in the morning . The van gets dark . I know I'm not alone . These two girls I know are in the van. We go outside and everything is dark. I kiss one.

I realize I'm asleep. The ihop lights are off. I'm back in my van waking up.

She's there we make out . I look to see if the i hop lights are on . No. She looks at me . I can see in her eyes that I am not dreaming

I wake up . It's very dark I grab a smoke and fumble for my lighter. I find it . It's my broken on I have trouble lighting . Fumble fot the working one. Find it.

Have to pee . Miss the cup. Try to find lights to see. Not lights .Ihop closed again
Something not right. Lghter won't light. Something is pulling me

Footsteps outside. Lighter still won't light. Tusseling with something . It won't let me wake up.

Fear. Dread. No light. Must wake up. Lighter won't light.

Try to make it to front of van. Something pulling me back. Don't look. More fear.

Must make it to front. Know I'm asleep . Must see ihop light on. Fight to front. Like Lghter still won't light. Know this is dream . Must see ihop. Fear.

Make it to front . Look . No ihop lights. I'm dreaming. Fear. Must wake up. Must see light.

Clawing for ouside . Phone rings. See it on floor but can't reach it . Something holding me back. Phone continues to ring.
Stops. Still see light on phone

Say in scared hushed tone "mom"

Voice from phone "I'm not your mother"

I bleat "who are you"

Answer "you will see soon enough"

Dread and panic

Lit up phone transitions to the corner of my open curtains and the light of ihop

Grab lighter . It lights

Sit up.

End

Eta pic of ihop or phone? Both

Are you saying you had a paranormal experience or a bad dream you couldn't wake up from?

You described your experience of not being able to wake up, your lighter not working, your phone being out of reach....

I'm sorry, but what exactly is troubling you?

Could you please clarify?

This is why you don't take candy from strangers.

A dream that was not a dream

I don't remember going to sleep and I never woke up

See my pic . Phone on ground transitioned to curtains

It was in both as different objects

lucid dream was first thought but I have always controlled my lucid . I had no control over this even though I knew throughout it was not (reality, really happening, awake, asleep, dreaming)

Maybe sleep paralysis? While lucid dreaming/awake? Idk I'm at a loss. But it freaked me the f out. That voice...

Did you eat your Halloween candy before your parents could check it???

But seriously... That sound a like some hard core weird stuff. Almost like a dream within a dream within a dream.

Did it leave any lingering feelings? Scared, ok, shocked, etc.? It doesn't sound like an enjoyable experience at all.

I don't know what it could be, I'm guessing some really weird dream, probably normal mixed with lucid, or a lucid dream which later turned into a normal dream.

My advice would be to get some fresh air, and forget about it.

Or start a dream journal in case you are prone to getting weird dreams like this.
I hope you feel better now.

The voice. It's words. I could feel the truth in them.

And it scared the cap outta me. Much fear. Still a little shaken.

Like another was with me . Wouldn't let me answer phone. But spoke through it.

It was like I was trying to be tricked into believing I was awake. When I knew I wasnt. But the only thing that gave it away was the closed ihop

bed time journals are a great idea.
i used one to help me get to sleep. sometimes the brain just doesn't know it's time to shut down. writing down gives the brain a release. the same idea can be said for writing down dreams. over time you can look back and perhaps see a message through the dreams in bulk that singly say nothing. the mind is an incredible machine.

I imagine it did. I would have needed a change of clothes I think if that had happened to me and seemed as real as you describe. I'm not really afraid of anything in this world. I am however, a wee bit scared if things that may be out there that I am not aware of.

Who knows why it happened? Maybe you'll get your answer when you go back to sleep.

Thanks.
I have a dream journal, have had one for years. It's also interesting that whenever I had a choice to make in real life, or was trying to figure something out my dreams would give me little hints in which direction to go.

I know a lot of people don't take it seriously, but dreams can help us understand our own feelings better, and sometimes even help us with finding answers to things that are troubling us.

The OP might be having some difficult times or tough decisions to make in real life right now, and I think it might be showing in his/her dream.

it's those people who park their UFOs over the cities and tap into your dreams to work out some sort of complex math problem.

that's all i got.

The most important question here is, What was doing the second girl while you were doing it with the other one?

Must be something in the air. I just woke up from disturbingly real dream.
I thought I woke up and went outside to relieve my bladder. A girl I know comes walking up.
I was a little confused.
"What are you doing out at this hour?" I asked.
She just stood there staring at me as I whizzed.
A very low flying jet passed overhead.
Then I woke up and had to dart out the door. I nearly wet the bed.
I notice I am fully clothed. I remember stripping down to just my boxers before I went to bed.
Now I'm wide awake at 3:30 a.m.

To me this doesn't sound like a dream. IMainly because at the end how the light of the phone and ihop slowly separated. Kind of like how your eyes lose focus when staring at something and just dazing out. Obviously it was much stronger than just dazing out though. think you only thought you were dreaming because your head can't wrap around it. I think something was using fear against you. You were very afraid of at least three things. The simple version, the ihop lights being out meaning that ihop is closed, being trapped in your van, and not having your phone. Of course, there is much more to each fear.

The woman at the beginning is obviously a force that is holding you to the reality of this life we live. When you kissed her the first time you immediately realized you were sleeping and needed to wake up. Again she's with you and you make out, but also search for the light of the ihop for an extra reassurance. Like all of the sudden just seeing the woman there wasn't the only thing you needed to see to comvince you of your reality. You knew something was wrong and you were not supposed to see her there and I hop is open 24/7 meaning unless something disastrous happened, there is no reason for the lights to be off.

I really can't try to explain what any of it could mean or how you should interpret it. It just seems to me like you could possibly have had an anxiety attack of some sort. Were you deep in thought about what is going on in your life and where its led you? Something brought it on. Something you knew couldn't control anything. That's why you repeatedly looked for reasurrance that what you know is real and can see and touch and hear is what keeps you in control.

That's just my guess. How I interpreted your experience. Just know that you are in control of your life. Your fears are just there to bring about negative emotions and thoughts. Negativity just seems to be taking over this world. That's why we focus on the positives. You kissed that woman because she's a positive reassurance of your exsistance. You answered the phone because you wanted to talk to your mother, another positive reassurance of your existence. Onviously these two women have had or have a positive effect on you.

There's so much more I could expand on this but it's just so hard to type it all out. A discussion done much better in person I think. I hope what I've said here can help you at all. Or give you another outlook to ponder on. Thank you for sharing

I "dream" like this on occasion. You're half asleep/awake, just enough for the real world to influence what's going on in the dream. When I worked, if I laid down for just a few hours, knowing I had to get up soon, I always dreamed of work or something work related.
If there was anything to smoke or drink involved with your Halloween celebrations, it can make dreams that much more real.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but your post made me laugh out loud and shake my head in agreement. Mainly because it sounds a lot like the dreams I've had, the kind that make you wake up in distress, wondering why you were doing or thinking certain things in the dream you just had. I cannot get the words I'm trying to say out of my mouth in these dreams; my feet feel stuck in quicksand and will not move anywhere near as fast as I need them to. Dreams are inherently weird. So, try not to be alarmed. It's all pretty normal.

the lighter and ihop lights were giveaways I wasn't in "reality"

Kinda like the spinning top from that movie

Once I realized that it became what I looked for at each waking up point

To determine if I had "made it back" because these were knowns

lighter won't light, check ihop lights . Off . Not back yet

Something like that
