I have done research and yes with the right diet and ointments they will go away but if they last longer than 3 weeks it is call chronic anal fissures and those never really go away even after surgery...I am crying at the thought of that no joke.


Those fissures go away, the problem is that it is just a tear in the anal canal, close to the rear exit point. So every time it starts to heal, when you go to the rest room it just tears open again. My Protocologist wanted to make my butt hole bigger, I said no thanks. That would be great waking around crapping myself.

That's why if I had it to do over, I would just stop eating for week or two, go on liquid diet. I would of saved $600, not going to specialist.

They are usually caused by the staphylococcus aureaus" bug the same one that causes boils. but sometimes they bore a small hole from the outside to the intestine wall, they can be a chronic condition that can last for years if left untreated. The guy said "Hem clear" cured him I'd try it, it might be worthwhile checking your blood sugar as well, if it stays high for to long it stuffs the immune system and leaves you susceptible to boils and fungal infections down that way .Good luck, it will pass.

Here's a site that has a lot of information about how to heal fissures from people who have had to deal with it first hand, and have found results.

Just for starters, I would highly recommend vitamin C, at least 5,000 mg a day in divided doses, in a buffered powder form. Vitamin C heals bleeding wounds faster than anything, and is inexpensive and useful for so many health issues, it should really be on everyone's list as a daily first supplement. It will build your immune system very quickly so that your system can heal.

Also consider trying probiotic enzymes with every meal. What a difference these have made in my digestive and GI problems! Take a probiotic with your meals. I just looked up probiotics at vitacost, a natural vitamin site, and ordered the most popular brand, which was relatively inexpensive and very effective.

Also check into supplementing with vitamin B6 (see link above), zinc (ditto), and with aloe vera gel internally and externally.

For fiber, I highly recommend acacia root powder. It is an all soluble fiber, meaning it will not irritate or harm your intestinal tract or rectum. This is easy to find on internet vitamin stores.

Research Doctor Yourself for ideas, too, using its internal search box.

Simple supplements like vitamin C and B6 will probably surprise you by their efficacy. This product called HemClear also sounds good, and looking at its ingredients list, it would probably be hard to replicate it by yourself, even though it's all herbal.

I have had my history with fissures, I know how depressing it can get and what a bad place you must be in right now. Here are my recommendations, and I do hope you take them:

1. Man up, don't be afraid of going to the bathroom. The next few days you will see some blood either on the toilet, your droppings or the paper, and you probably will feel like your a-hole is on fire, but its better to only suffer the next few days than the next few weeks (or maybe even months)... which is what will happen if you keep/start getting constipated.

2. Drink plenty of pure water every single day for the rest of your life. This will not only help you heal faster by keeping your stools on the softer side of the spectrum, but also will hopefully prevent you from ever tearing your ass apart in the future (your ass will be vulnerable from now on, and you will need to be careful with your diet... trust me). Whatever amount of water is you drink now, double it (maybe even triple it), Im not kidding, this may be what defines your quality of life long term.

3. For the next few weeks, eat as many oranges and apples as you can take, and as much of the skin of the oranges as you can tolerate (the withe stuff obviously, not the orange one).

4. Try doing at least 1 hour of exercises 6 days a week, but its better if you do more (and even better if you end up developing a athletic condition as a result).

5. Stop using toilet paper and start using baby wipes, it makes a world of difference.

6. Don't eat too much chocolate and other fatty foods, Im sure that's what triggered my first event back in 2007 and some of the subsequent ones (I learned the bad way).

7. Once you have healed and you feel like things have returned to normality, keep always in mind that your ass will never be the same from now on. You need to do whatever you can to avoid pushing too hard while you're taking a dump, that's probably the easiest way to reopen the fissure.

You will need to change your eating habits and life style from now on, I hate to worry you but I have done plenty of research on this issue since I first started developing these sort of problems, and you're probably now on higher risk of developing anal cancer. This fissures are no joke and are usually signs that you've developed some unhealthy habits along the way, so take them as a reminder that you need to start living a healthier life ASAP.

It's not a laughing matter mate.

I doubt there are many of the 1.16 Million Men who die of Prostate cancer each year were laughing about it.

If the idea of your partner stimulating a gland inside your arse, that could help to prevent you developing a serious disease that could go on to make you one of the death stats turns you cold, by all means, go and see a doctor.

I'm talking about regular stimulation, not something that is done once it becomes infected or diseased.

This is most easily accomplished at home, yourself or with the help of a partner...of course if you suspect a problem with the Prostate, then of course go right to the doctor to get it checked out.

If they catch a problem early enough, it can be treated or as a last resort, surgically removed altogether.

Awesome responses everybody, I wasn't expecting this many. I gotta say using the tucks pads as toilet paper is making a world of a difference, I am at work and usually by this time I am in agony but am virtually pain free right now. I think it is a combination of my diet change and the tucks pads so thank you all for your advice, just have to wait to see the but doctor now.
