I now know where the term "pain in my a$$" comes from.

Anal Fissures can be easy to joke about and to be honest I did joke about for the first few days but a month later and the pain is unbearable. It is at the point where I am afraid to eat and doing anything is a daunting task. I feel as if no one knows the pain I am in and that is why I am posting here, can anyone on here relate to this? can the pain be compared to something else? Because this is the most pain I have been in in my life. I am 23 and do not need this at my age, it is effecting me mentally more than anything, as if the pain is effecting my brain. My patience has grown short and I cannot concentrate on anything. To make matters worse I have to wait til Nov 20th to see a specialist then who knows how long after that to get treatment. Creams and suppositories worked for the first week but have been useless as of late. Just started to take fibre supplements but I do not think it is my stool consistency that is the problem. I have only taken a few days off of work but cannot afford to take anymore. This is turning me into a depressed and bitter individual mixed with anger so it feels good to get this out on here. If you have experienced this pain let me know that I am not alone. If you haven't then feel free to leave a joke or two to help me laugh at this. I would not wish this upon anyone, I used to look forward to my morning bowel movement but now I get stressed out when I get that feeling.

Sincerely,
Butt hurt individual

You need to go see a different doctor. There is medicine, and medical procedures that can rid you of this pain - and allow your body time to heal.

Not to mention there are diets you can get on that will help you as well, which are not as rough to pass.

Fiber can help - but too much can make the problem worse.

Try not to strain when using the bathroom, allow things to come as natural as possible. This is why fiber was recommended - it allows passing easier.

Good luck in your healing.

Going to the grocery store after work to get some fiber rich foods, I just have to accept that it will not heal over night and stick with the diet.

Nah, I would surely not want to make you 'butt of the joke'.
So no jokes from me.

Stay away from black pepper, chili, anything spicy imo.

Isn't this something that usually heals by itself?
Try eating more soup, more liquids.

I wish you a speedy recovery. And hopefully those 21 days til your appointment will pass by soon, or by then maybe you will be fine again.

My ex had one. And hemorrhoids at the same time. Sorry.
I wasn't sorry for her. The whole family is anal retentive. They hold their poo until they are uncomfortable and it blows their corn chutes! And flood the toilet!

She tried the pills, but her lifestyle choices (see above) prevented them from working. She finally had to get surgery.

Look at your options and don't grunt.

21 days! damn I didn't do the math there lol

I have done research and yes with the right diet and ointments they will go away but if they last longer than 3 weeks it is call chronic anal fissures and those never really go away even after surgery...I am crying at the thought of that no joke.

When I was your age I had some screamin painful bleeding hemorrhoids. I started eating Aloe Vera directly from the leaf. Those slimy, bitter spoonfuls of gelatinous gag inducing goop, 2 times a day, saved my ass! (Literally)

Within 3 days I was back to normal.

Have you tried a hot bath yet? Run the water as hot as you can without burning yourself and then soak away for about 30 minutes. Should help alleviate the pain for a bit.

I have done the sitz bath a few times but I haven't noticed a difference, if anything it makes worse after by drying out the area.
ew I have never heard of ingesting aloe Vera lol that would be gross but I am curious to try, where can I get it?

Good call. Throw a handful of Epsom salt in the bath.

Stoneroot Extract (several drops in a bit of juice) heals and prevents further hemorrhoids.

You can get good quality aloe at any natural store or vitamin shop. Get the good stuff. That and the stoneroot should have you feeling better soon. OH, and good old fashioned witch hazel wipes. Tucks brand.

Probably a better idea!

At the time, I was dirt poor. The Hawaiians told me about the "Jesus Plant". They called it the "Jesus Plant" because when you break the leaf and the sap becomes exposed to the air it turns blood red, and it heals. I had some growing by my front porch, so..............

tucks pads man.....
they'll give you a little relief....

like a wet, soothing pad that you stick right over your balloon knot..

warm baths with the epsom salt...

other than that man...not much to be done....

you sure its a fissure and not a roid?

i have these problems chronically. i take a lot of pain meds that cause constipation and in turn causes these issues...
its terrible....

make sure youre going #2 every day....if not then try fleet enemas(no more than 1 a day) or glycerine suppositories(no more than 1 a day)
thats about it man......

even if before these you had a bowl schedule of every other day, you need to regulate to at least 1 time a day...

you do not want to be dealing with a fissure and/or a roid and on top of that be constipated and not be able to go to the bathroom......
if that happens you can rip yourself and it will be much, much worse.....

i feel your pain man...i know it sucks bad.....

Oh I have made sure to keep up my normal bowel movements in the morning I don't even want to think of how painful it would be to pile it up. I actually used to think it was a roid but now I am thinking its a fissure due to my symptoms

if it is something external you should be able to tell pretty easy by reaching back and checking it out....

squat over a mirror or take a picture of yourself back there so you can check it out..

if its an internal thing it might be a little harder....
a roid should not produce any blood after the 1st day...

either 1 of them will heal on their own but sometimes it takes a long time....im talking months....

i went to the doc about 6 months ago cause i had a roid and it was putting me in extreme pain....doc said all i can do is wait it out....it will shrink on its own...
fissure/roid will both go away on their own...you will just be miserable....

i actually think the roid hurts worse but thats just me....

investigate it my friend.....nothing wrong with checking yourself out
