Patriotism - one of the most powerful tools to control society.

Hitler was a NAZI

.Nazi stands for National Socialist Germans workers party..! Socialist is left wing. Hitler made several speeches against Capitalism. Nazi party was for gun control, abortions, Hitler wanted naturalization of healthcare and education. All these are left wing ideas. How do people not get National Socialist Germans workers party?

I'm not used to political semantics - when I say right wing I probably mean to say 'harsh as f**k' or yes, as you point out Fascism. Sorry to mislead. But semantics aside can you see the point I'm making - the power of rising from a disgruntled society can be ultimate power, a power which can be manipulated by the same people that manipulate our government.

I will add, the most forth-right posts which all force assertions on me all come from people with avatars which could, by stereotypically led minds be interpreted as typical UKIP voters - the Union Jack, St George's Cross, sporting one's football team with ENGLAND in caps,'drunk'.

I disagree with OP but...

The UKIP "manifesto" is nothing but a list of tabloid soundbites tweaking the jangling nerves of people who have been wound up by the tabloids on specific points. The vast majority is negative "we will abolish.." "we will scrap..". Very little positive actions to address the issues that truly face the country (immigration is but a very minor one but very visible due to the obvious shade of colour of peoples faces and the unwarranted publicity given to the very similar, by attitude, muslim extremists......quite ironic really!). The biggest issue we have is the ever widening wealth inequality which will drive this country into the ground. Absolutely nothing in the UKIP manifesto to address this.....and why would there once you understand the background of all those people who run UKIP. Yes I have looked into their backgrounds and what a sorry bunch of disaffected extreme right wingers they are!

There is plenty of scraps in there to keep the masses happy which is their only purpose. The meat behind the UKIP manifesto is to preserve the status quo of inequality of the Little Englanders.

If you want to read a well written, complete, and very thorough analysis of what is wrong and how to fix it then read this :

Green Party Policy

Anyone left of Cameron should vote green

As German-backed nazis again march through the Ukraine, financed with a special levy on Britain costing us billions of pounds extra, UKIP are the only party who are against them.

And somehow, in your tiny twisted mind, this makes Nigel the new Hitler?

Not Soetero, not Angela. Instead, one insignificant man standing up for democracy against a totalitarian state trying to take over Europe.

Just FYI in case you are American: Hitler was the German chap who tried to take over the world, Britain and Churchill were the ones who stood against him (with some late help from the Russians).

When I mention patriotism I'm not talking about Hitler and Nazis - I'm talking about flag man's avatar and yours to a big extent.

I think you have hit on the truth here, perhaps accidentally.

Since by any objective measure, the Conservatives have moved far to the left of Labour (higher taxes and much higher spending, even than Gordon Brown). Anyone deluded enough to be further left only has the watermelon party to vote for (Green on the outside, Red on the inside).

This has left a huge gap in the centre and to the right where most people have little choice but to vote UKIP, regardless of their policies etc.

At the moment, in the UK, where the "poor" laugh at the one percent because let's face it, the one percent couldn't afford the million pound London pads that are used to house the poor, many people think a shift to the right might be a good idea. Perhaps working people should get a tiny bit more than the council flat and tax credit crowd? A little inequality might be a good thing.

You know what I'm thinking - it's to do with stereotypes, it's very wrong I know but my thoughts go with statistics/common themes. I'm putting you in the group of football louts who vote UKIP and don't want those immigrants taking our jobs. It's a big assumption, a really unfair one too but hat's honestly what I think.

All this said, I'm talking like it matters who gets into power, it doesn't. The corporations, Murdoch, Bilderbergs, whoever else has overwhelming power - they will get what they want and they are the ones who force the decisions, they have the last say.

he's about as much a hitler as winston churchill was, infact he'd probably be seen by those who love their rules and are considered little hitlers themselves as some sort of socialist scum

I'm over 40, and I've seen what these parties have done for the country:

o The "skimming of pension fund surpluses" in the 1990's, taking money away from workers to give to shareholders. Money that was previously reinvested in R&D and company stock prices was raided, causing a stock market plunge.

o The "redistribution of wealth" through further taxes on private pension schemes, leading to their final demise. People were then forced to invest in property to safeguard their savings, now leading to a housing shortage due to BTL landlords.

o The purchase of profitable manufacturing companies, which were then liquidated, asset stripped, and sold off to the Far East, causing massive unemployment and the ultimate creation of sink estates where no-one is able to escape poverty.

o The multiple banking fraud schemes such as PPI, where millions have been cheated out of billions.

o New Labour's "it's not worth the risk" campaign with Scottish independence.

o The use of labels like "racist", "xenophobic" and "islamophobic" to name just a few, whenever anyone dared criticize government policies, even though the critics were right.

o The failure of authorities to move these teenage women into a place of safety, but to just try and cover things up. This isn't just Rotherham, it's the whole Greater Manchester area. 75% of the men were Pakistani. It's impossible for the authorities to stop them, so it was easier for them to try and silence the critics, as with so many other times.

I'm not going to lie here and state that I am a few beers in and that I also skimmed this thread.

About three years ago I thought that Farage was a good guy. He was speaking out against the EU for England and our rights.

I have not fully read all the posts and replys but have to agree with the OP in that I see a similarily between Farage and Hitlers early days. National pride, the future of a nation and a hatred of of outsiders.

open to opinions and will re re read but yes I see history repeating itself.

Farage doesn't hate outsiders, he hates the open door policy that Labour left us with allowing tens of thousands of eastern Europeans to come and take British jobs and scrounge benefits off the tax payers.

Yet again, the media taking things and twisting them out of context.

Did you find this out from the media?

As above politics is generated via media. Farage is an upperclass twit like all the rest.

I've heard it from Farages own mouth in interviews, and whilst I don't trust politicians, I do like to take a man at his word until proven otherwise.
