Just more proof that all Mars' missions are really taking place on Earth

amazing where did you get that picture without the object?

See the pile of flat rocks on the left? To me it appears to be one of those same types of rocks, just stuck straight up from the ground because of the angle the picture was taken from.

You know you can figure out the size of the rocks based on the pixel count right? Let me ask you this, how big do YOU think these rocks are?

Can't see what you meant .. but the geological structures in that image definitely show some miraculous rocks. .

I am quite interested in the sharp thin curved cut in the soil leading to the edge of the rocks. This looks "fresh" as there are stones dispersed at either side (they have not been blown away by the wind). What could make that line in the absence of small animals or plants?

I've seen the same thing. It also got my attention . I even outlined the curve that it had on the picture .. It also seems that some
exhaust pipe is sticking out . And it als looks like its connected to a cable or something really curious what it could be from upclose.

The more I delve into this photo the more intriguing it becomes. What the heck is that curved "rock"? It's almost like a geode.

I have this feeling that when you find something on one spot there's always something close by that's standing out even more then the original object. .?

Typically speaking I'm usually one to dismiss a lot of these images as tricks of light and shadow, fragments of busted up rocks playing on one's imagination, but this one has me very interested. First off the masonry-type formation on the lower right is compelling by itself. That said, we have at least 3 different objects displaying a spherical radius... and I'm at a loss as to what the OP's object could be. This is an outstanding image. Even if it is all natural it's fascinating

Btw I'm sorry I'm unable to post a photo highlighting the areas I'm referring to. I'm on my phone

edit on 30-10-2014 by TheDarkHorse because: added reason for not posting my own highlighted photo

It is a remarkable photograph . And it's almost as if these stone circled objects are remnants of ruins from the past.?
What would a real archaeologist or geographical scientist say about this picture. .

The scrape marks in the soil make me think that the object is laying somewhere the rover has been already. Perhaps it's time to run a full diagnostic and see if anything is missing.

fellow contributors to this thread I'm going to kill my own theory because if I find the truth I'm not the one who will withhold the facts how they are , so the ones who claimed it was a rock came out right again .

NASA did a close up of the object and it came out that what i saw was merely a rock like all the other surrounding rocks.
So here's the picture of Sol792 as they drove to the object in question.Maybe NASA did find this object interesting as we did and drove to the object?

Not that there are more interesting objects on Sol790 but the main object what I thought to be something mechanical was just the obscuration of pixels that gave the mechanical impression.

Until my Next Martian thread but I will put the question marks in the title when I find something of interest IMO

Thanks for contributing

That's what we're here for.

For me, it's not about being the first, the loudest, the most insistent, the most observant when looking for anomalies, it's about discovering something on another moon or world that is truly anomalous, and might be an indicator of a previous civilisation from here, or remnants of another from elsewhere.

If it's plainly a rock, then it's a rock.

This is just another one of those rocks that looked unusual, has been investigated as much as could be done from our respective computer screens, and found to be not anomalous at all.

Job done IMO.

I very much doubt if it could be a part of another failed machinery from earth. The chances of happening to come across it is astronomical, the chances of it being an artificial part from someplace OTHER than earth would be eisier to believe.

Maybe NASA keeps an eye on ATS and when someone reports something strange they will check it out
. I know there are a lot of secrecy with NASA, but the main objectives of all the rovers is to find life so I think they are doing that!
I think many times we are so disappointed when they prove that something we all got excited about is a natural formation we get frustrated and blame NASA for 'hiding' information. JMHO
Also, thanks for following up with the official explanation, we will always be taken more serious if we are open-minded enough to admit we thought it looked unnatural but I guess not, very class move and professional, thanks!
