Well since there's quite a few ATS members that think it's a crime for NY, NJ or other states to hold in quarantine any HC workers that have been exposed to the Ebola virus, I'm sure they'll be just as upset with the CIC requiring all US military personnel having to go thru such quarantine requirements.

U.S. soldiers returning from Liberia monitored for Ebola in Italy

OK let's hear the outrage and reasons why this is as silly as you claimed holding the HC workers is, under similar circumstances.

They are being confined to quarters. No family visits. Just as HC workers would be that return here. I'm sure there's a lot of outrage from those who were against doing this to those workers returning here. Come on let it fly!

Administration's contempt for military continues

What does this have to do with the Obama admin?

And I must have missed the thread where people claimed it is a crime to quarantine people.

Obama is the head of the military as Commander in Chief. I'm sure you know that though.

Indeed. I fail to see where to contempt for the military comes in to play here.

Here's more reading. Doesn't like the quarantine for some but has no issue about it for others.

Are they being held in barracks or do they get liberty to see the sights?

Anyone from there should be suspect. Not because of their human rights, either. Ebola isn't Human.

Try reading the article I posted or even one of my posts above. They are confined and no family visits.

Why would the administration be to blame?

They aren't setting policy. That would be the military commanders.

And what's the big deal? Better that they did something. Than nothing and someone gets sick because of negligence.

After reading the article, it appears that the WH does not have a problem with quarantines...just how they are implemented. I don't see how the admin is necessarily wrong here.

As for the other thread, I have no clue what thread you're talking about.

Obama always uses anything to further the political points.

He's been failing on the Ebola issues and is extremely jealous, especially of the States going over his head.

From your source:

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel will decide whether to make isolation apply to members of all services returning from Liberia.
If it doesn't apply to all then you could safely say your opinion is correct.

Is this the same contempt that soldiers in Iraq had to face when they were refused necessary body armor and supplies during the last administration? Your concern for the soldiers is nothing but an excuse to attack the dems.
