Well, I would hope that any suggestion that this airstrike was launched to get rid of a couple of yards of black cloth, is made with the tongue firmly
in the cheek.
And as for the fellow who apparantly stood there and took it, no, he did not. He took the first big detonation, and then the entire surface of the
hill got turned into a crapstorm, from which nothing, and I mean not a single damned thing could have walked away. His innards, no matter how well he
may have weathered the first detonation, are soup now, if they remained within his body, if there is anything LEFT of his body. The fellow is dead,
and thats all there is to say about it.
Also, it has to be said that the shot from the camera is basically one angle. We have no idea if just over the ridge of that hill, there might have
been an emplaced field gun, or a network of dugouts, foxholes, or earthworks with machine gun emplacements, or rocket launching gear. Now, I would
have thought that the headline would have read a little differently if so, but there again, it might be that the only view the media have even had of
that hill since this whole mess began, is on that video, from one single side, meaning we may never know what was actually on the other side of that
hill.
We can know even less about it now, since the features of that area are probably VASTLY different now than they were, topographically speaking. In my
opinion, it is perfectly possible that there was a genuine target on that hillside, aside of course from the flag of ISIS. I would be very surprised
if the US military, even in their particular brand of batcrap craziness, were dumb enough to waste that much money and munitions on a psyop which was
all done and dusted in less than a minute.
It does not seem like something even the most trigger happy, detonation fetishist general would think up!
