Yes I said it...

Too many know-it-alls keep lumping all Muslims together...
Despite the well known differences between sects!!!

Too many know-it-alls claim to know the "deeper, darker side "of Islam they call "the true face...",...
Without having picked up a Quran to actually read the peaceful approach that Islam has taught us...

Too many know-it-alls are making hateful threads aimed at people like myself...
Without the slightest clue as to what Islam truly represents...

Too many know-it-alls "quote" the Quranic scripture to "prove a point"...
Without consulting the Quran itself, instead copying & pasting from known Islamophobic websites that use mistranslations or blatantly miss out key words involved with the Surah...

Too many know-it-alls, with not enough brain cells between them to understand the philosophy of Islamic teachings to its fullest...
Instead cherry picking what they'd envision is a true representation...

Too many know-it-alls...
& you're probably one of them reading this...

To the people who have seen these antics & threads, that have spoken against the Islamophobic tendencies of certain members, fair play to you...
You're not the know-it-alls of this topic, you are the needle in the haystack, the wheat from the chaff, the light in the darkness!!!

To the know-it-alls, your hatred of Islam is embarrasing & pathetic...
Yes I said it!!!

I will not be replying to hatred, instead I will sit here laughing at your self-indulgent, diatribical vitriol, in the knowledge that I know better than an Islamophobe!

the problem is islam itself and the worldview it portrays. Not the majority of muslems. obviously the majority of these people have an inherent sense of what is right or not right to do to fellow man. It is quite a small number who would today go out and off themselves to kill some westerners. But to be fair a large majority of these people live in a way to me personally is disgusting and should be gotten rid of. Not the people, the ideals and worldview of their beliefs need to be put on the shelves with Zeus and Thor. Plain and simple.

That's really helpful, if your trying to convince anyone.

Because I read it. I don't lump all Muslims together.

Are the actual mullahs and Islamic leaders that urge violent external jihad misquoting the Koran also?
Honest question, and I don't ever suspect that you support such terrible things. I also do not suspect that most Muslims support violent jihad.

And you are another for writing that

If Islam is all good and you know it you should be calm and feel good about it, when someone seems ignorant to you just say to yourself if he only knew, and keep on your peaceful existence, don't make a rant about it.

Too many know-it-alls, with not enough brain cells between them to understand the philosophy of Islamic teachings to its fullest...

Do you claim you do? ISIS does no? aint them part of your world? aren't you cherry picking too?

No the point of my rant is that I'm no longer trying to convince anyone of anything...

It's merely a rant that I've had enough "educating", for want of a better, not so holier-than-thou word...

If people don't want to learn I'm no longer going to advise them on the truth of the matter...
I'll just make a mental note of who they are and ignore them!

A little further down I explain about your concerns in the second part of your post!

Usually these leaders are quoting Hadiths and not the Qur'an itself.

That's a fair question pal, and I appreciate your forthrightness in asking...

Personally, I feel every group has its megalomaniacs in powerful positions who take advantage for nefarious reasons...
Edit: in this case they don't misquote, but they cherry pick Verses and ignore the overall Surah that would diminish any opportunity to take advantage of the scripture...

Islam is no different to any other society, nobody & nothing is perfect...
With that said if most people like myself had a say they wouldn't be in a position to pull strings in the Islamic, or World communities...

Do they represent Islam, no...
Are they Muslims, yes sadly there is no form of excommunication in Islam as with Christianity & Judaism...
We expect Allah will judge them sooner than they think!

To be fair pal IS are as braindead as those I am addressing in the OP...

I could have kept it to myself, this is a one off rant from myself...

I will rarely speak about my beliefs now, which was my intent when I joined actually...

Sometimes the indignation gets my back up and I feel that this was a necessary rant...

Also I know I have a lot to learn...
I'm far from a know-it-all my friend...

In fact the reason I joined this site was to learn that which I think I know...

Hating anything that is different from ones own beliefs or preferences is ignorant and pathetic. It is a sword that cuts in all ways and in all directions.

Like the Bible there are many disturbing sections with in the Quran as well.....

Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Killing Infadels

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15 NAB)

Killing in the Bible

To me it is how the reader perceives this message or receives it(from the mouth of others) in many cases. One can hardly deny that Christianity has some Extremist sects as well......It does however seem that the Islamic extremists resort to violence more regularly than counterparts of other extremist sects of religions. I think one would be hard pressed to define a religious person by their book, one must only look at Christians right here in America to see the wide wide chasms with in their beliefs yet they read the same book.....

The Hadiths in my understanding are quotes of the Prophet, wouldn't this be basically the same? I mean both are sacred books....Would a Muslim discredit the Prophet by disregarding his quotes.

A disbeliever is someone who bears witness to God...
& still turns their back...

Not an atheist or Christian or Jew...

It's a common misconception!

& 8:13 explains 8:12...

8:13. That is because they were hostile to Allah & His messenger...
& whoever is hostile towards Allah & His messenger...
Then, Allah is severe at punishment

It's not those who disbelieve, it's those who disbelieve & wage war!!!!
Like ISIS.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Your Hatred Of Islam Is Embarrasing & Pathetic!!!

Why is it embarrassing and pathetic for people to hate organized religion? That doesn't mean they hate the people in those organized religions ... in fact it is usually just the opposite. When people hate organized religions it usually means that they feel bad for the people stuck in them - that's caring for people, not hating them. I hate a lot of what the Abrahamic religions pump out. I do NOT hate the people stuck in those religions.

Islam hates that Christians have the Holy Trinity - God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Christians hate that Muslims deny that Jesus is God incarnate.
Hating what you think is error is fine. Nothing wrong with it.
Just don't hate the people who are stuck in what you consider error.

That goes for everyone ... Muslims shouldn't hate non-muslims for living in what the Muslims consider to be error. And non-muslims shouldn't hate muslims for living in what non-muslims consider to be error. Hate the 'error' but not the people. No problem.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

There is levels to the Hadith...

They are not quotes first hand...
They are from hear say or those who were around the Prophet...

A lot of Muslims question the validity of the Hadiths!

But wouldn't that also be most of the West too? As many reject the messenger and wage war against Islamic nations.

Hatred is the epitome of ignorance!!!

I don't hate the idea of Holy Trinity...
I just don't believe it...

There is a major difference!
