Well that's good news.
At least Duncan's family didn't get infected.
Gotta be hard for them to be in the middle of this mess.

you have a point , look at the media frenzy around any slight sneeze around the world at the moment , but what we get from ground zero of the U.S's Ebola situation..

is a pretty plain email

I am so glad they are alright. I hope the other kids in school go easy on the children who were quarantined, children can be very cruel.

Agreed that this is probably not written by Louise.

I was one of those who didn't believe they were okay. Good for them. I am still a little skeptical, however...Maybe because of the sentence in that letter asking for privacy to mourn. We won't be seeing them anytime soon.

But that's just my paranoia speaking...

My inner-doom says, just wait, they will be wrong about the 21 day incubation period timeline. Someone in that group will get sick a bit later.

No ill-wishing towards the family but, how often do we see people (the CDC) getting things right?

$100 says she already has a publicist and is planning to write a book... hence the "tell my story in my own way at the right time" statement.

No, that letter definitely was not drafted by herself.

It seems quite miraculous that they all came out clean considering the close proximity they had with Duncan and how many mistakes were made on the end of the hospital. He was obviously showing symptoms on the first visit yet, they allowed him to go home.

You win!! I read an article she is planning to write a book about her ordeal and their 'love story'.

Never miss the opportunity to capitalize on a publicized tragedy.

I just saw this post. Yes, I agree. And FINALLY she addresses the two nurses who got infected with Ebola from her fiancee.

So this professionally written, grammatically perfect letter was written by someone who didn't know the meaning of the term 'quarantine' and sent her kids to school after having been served papers to that effect, and hung around in the same house as infected bedclothes for days until 'same shirt' Clay Jenkins took pity on her???

LOL

She'll need the writing skills for that book of hers; continued employment at whatever she was doing is not exactly a given.

What the world needs now is a sponsor for this fiction series - maybe Tide detergent, or a real estate company specializing in 'gated communities'.

If 'Louise' even shows up in public, do we really know what she or her family looked like?

If I would have been writing the statement for myself, I would have put my name on it.

It sort of lends credence to the idea that they knew what Duncan had which means he had a good idea what he had been exposed to when he left Liberia. Doesn't it?

So much for the "He didn't know ..." brigade.

How? How in the world did they not get this ridiculously contagious disease? Were they given some sort of secret cure??? I mean seriously...it makes no sense.

"because of the Ebola virus in Dallas"

Reads like something someone else wrote.

That kinda goes without saying WHY you were quarantined, right? The Ebola virus didn't march to Dallas by itself. Why not... because of the ebola virus the love of my life contracted unknowingly helping a sick pregnant woman and accidentally brought with him to our family............ OR SOMETHING less robotic?
