The world sucks because we do. If everyone was truly this great and worthy assemblage of people and pure hearts then the world wouldn't be what it is.

It is horrible because we are. We suck, so our world sucks.

We really get what we deserve. This world doesnt deserve to have good government. It doesnt deserve to have altruistic wealthy people. It doesnt deserve to have suffering removed. It doesnt.

This world is a mirror of who we are. Instead of blaming evil people for the state of the world...blame yourselves. You are this world. No matter how much you think its one groups fault or another....you give them plenty to work with.

If good people existed in any meaningful measure then evil people would not have it so easy and wouldnt be able to do even a fraction of what they do. They run this world because it is made up of people just like them.

To real the good people out there:
Just deal.

I sense a theme in your threads today.
Self loathing is only attractive in tortured writers and super models.

Well, what I see.....its what inspires me today.

Still true though.

I am supermodel sexy BTW.. Oh yeah, hot stuff coming through.

EDIT TO ADD:
Unless you are saying that we are really worthy and great people. I doubt you will because its not true. Its not that you wont say it. YOU CANT.

I cant fully agree the odd good human heart is what keeps this planet from exploding but I agree that those that run this rock and our Gods are dysfunctional and demented and the only thing keeping them from totally wrecking the joint is the fact life will go on- thats the objective view my personal view is that this place is a sick joke, but if your in on the joke the hilarity is never ending we are the laughing stock of the galaxy.Perhaps were just an alien ant farm or reality tv show?

Yes collective humanity are not very evolved since the people who make up the collective are not very evolved. People do not want to take responsability and because of that the people who take responsability get a to high load and in the end it either breaks the back of the reasonable ones or they say screw this and only take responsability for themselves and their actions.

But in this world telling it likes it is is blasphemy and we should instead tell everyone how intelligent they are even if they have no ability at all to think critically and question the systems around us.

Yeah the ones you will find that are excellent people are always tired.

There is a saying:

Bad men become good in old age after getting tired of the effect of their actions. Good men become evil in old age after growing tired of the effects of the actions of others.

No.

I won't stop doing good around me. I didn't design this world. I didn't choose anything out of the reach of my power.
What I have chosen was done out of good will and I don't regret anything.

I don't feel an once of guilt.

I don't want wars, I don't want poverty, I don't want pollution, I don't want control, I don't want to be controlled.
I know what shouldn't be done, it's getting done anyway without my consent and without my authority.

Blaming yourself for things you didn't do is like giving up on your identity, giving up your honor, giving up your good will and it will not bring anything positive.

I have seen that joke also and it is hilarious when you disconnect and only observe the insanity from outside while not really being invested in the insanity.

But then I am probably a bit weird from other people since I play around a little in the spiritual realms also where I do not notice the insanity on the level I am aware of.

I have a feeling a life on earth on some level is a practical joke going very wrong. At least I can laugh at it.

Yup. We hate outside of us what we perceive in ourselves.

I can see how the world could be so much better if people trusted, were rational and loved without thought of self interest... but I don't spend my own time being a boon or adopting orphans... I play around and feed my face, doing good when the opportunity is plopped in front of me.

I can extrapolate that most people really are good and want to spread life and joy... but are just lazy, cynical, or overwhelmed... just like me.

All we think we know is extrapolated from personal experience.

The world is a big mixed mess... so the advice to simply take a little effort to do good on occasion would be enough... if enough did it.

I work from home but often I will go for a 5km walk at 6-7am or 5-6pm about 1km of this walk is parallel to the freeway,in the morning there they all are the worker bees three cars abreast for as far as the eye can see, then in the afternoon there they all are again this time crawling in the other direction returning from a day sitting in a cubicle watching a screen zapping words and numbers back and forth yes that all works without me,and Im happier for it.

Some also look objectively on their own actions and notice the things that they should not do since it is un symbiotic. To say that it is all an projection on outer the inner is not 100% right. Some is just external and not internal at all. The environment being the trouble not the person living in the environment.

A person who dislike small minded hating like Nazism/racism/Wahabbi is not automatically a Nazi/racist/Wahabbi just because he/she thinks the ideas are insane.

I do agree with the rest of your post.

Yes paradoxically, greedy evil values are seen and rewarded as strength, while compassion and virtue are seen as weaknesses.
And the ripples of good tend to get lost in the tidal waves of evil. We have become conditioned as humans to value power by any means gained. This sets off an upward dog-eat-dog chain reaction. We are messed up and the reasons are debatable but the fact remains we as humans on earth are for a large part not living up to our capabilities.

As soon as you lose the good/evil, religious/spiritual nonsense, the world becomes a lot easier to understand. We're social animals with hierarchies. Boo hoo. No more wondering 'why?!?!' from me. I just live my life, do what I do, and I don't allow any silly people and their wildly subjective ideas about morality to sway or influence me in my own personal experience. I laugh at anyone who tries to pretend to be more moral than me. Sometimes I like to be 'good, sometimes 'bad'; I relish both. The human race is over-rated anyway and not worth saving at this point. Look at how we treat the planet, the trees, the animals, all life. We're cockroaches that are breeding ourselves into self-destruction. Nothing we do is special whatsoever. Nature could not care less about our paltry ideas of good and evil, or balance for that matter. IMHO, people who use good and evil to describe our ills and social strife are completely clueless and will always be confused about the true nature of the human condition.

Yes, an oversight on my part.

I didn't mean the "bad" makes up an active part of our internal world, just resides in the library, is all.

I agree in some ways OP. Oppression escalates because TPTB test how far they can go, how much they can get away with. It's no surprise we have scams for governments, militarized police, all that comes with it.

I should say that I am sometimes pedantic.
.

On one level of thinking all is one connected so on that level all is internalized and nothing externalized. But I am still one being feeling a bit disconnected among other beings.

Change starts within us. Stay positive man. You have the right idea but remember when you give into despair or anger you feed the negative side is things. It's hard to remember. I'm extremely guilty of giving into my own weakness and forgetting my own message. Perfection is not required or expected but a desire to improve things (first and foremost yourself) is what's needed. Be the change you want to see.

It doesnt deserve to have suffering removed

I blame the children...

If they didn't get in the way of Airstrikes, Mortars, Gunfire & Paedophiles they wouldn't have shaped the world into the child murdering cesspit it has become...

Let the suffering reign over the children, eh OP!

No but you could try to be an adult about it.

I am thinking you were a kid before. YET, you turned into just the sort of person I am talking about. "Because poor children, my crap doesnt stink......."

Maybe if you cared you would want their world to be better than ours by showing responsibility for ones actions. If not they can inherit the earth with the children who will become leaders like ours, like yourself, that no matter how much blame they have, can always just tune it out with a greater justification. Air strikes and invasions are sold to people just like you by playing their heart strings...."oh the poor children of Iraq, we have to save them"

YOU= "oh the poor children getting air strikes, how dare you try to showcase our faults".....

You are just like the people you dont like.
