BAH!!!!

I just uploaded an image I want to use as an avatar, and when I copy its location into the avatar thing, and click edit, it wont work. It says that no such thing exists.

Can anoyone enlighten me?

Please post the url you used in this forum. That will give us somewhere to start.

in the properties I see a problem. There is an extra extension.
.../uploads/ats18473_Catfish_Avatar.jpg.ext

but i don't see the file, ats18473_Catfish_Avatar.jpg, even with the extension removed.

Should I try to upload it again? Maybe it was just an upload problem

Ill get a dif avatar for now, and see what I can come up with...

I'm quite tempted to start selling elevator passes to the avatar store, but it's actually much easier than that.

If you've got the url of one you like hosted elsewhere, simply paste it in the avatar slot under edit profile. Or upload one from your hard-drive to your ATS memory area through the member center, then paste the new location in edit profile.

Get back to us if you get stuck.

But. What if the pic is too big, and exceeds the size rule of ats. Do I get disqualified or sent off ats. Or do I get a grace period.

Also can I make my own pics through ats at the ats store.

You do what everyone does in that stu .

You edit it till it is 160pixels wide and less than 100,000 bytes big.

Then you upload it.

yekway if your image exceeds 160x320 pixels and 75k I would be happy to resize it and post it in this thread for you, that is if you need the help.

Avatars aren�t provided by the site. You need to create one yourself or ask one of our members to create one for you. Look through some of the threads (link below) for members offering this service.

yekway, avatars are free. No ATS points are required to upload and use one. Backgrounds & colors cost points, but are not required. If you want help with a super-duper custom avatar, browse through the Member Art forum where a number of members offer to help create them.

I tried the member center, and cliked on the browse button for my image.

Great. that was good. It seemed it took the image in.

Did you paste the url that ats gave you in your profile? If not copy the url click Control Panel>Edit Profile and paste it in the avatar box. Then click update.

Avatar Instructions

Go to the main ATS page. Click �MemberCenter U2U�.



On the left side of the screen you will see �Upload�, click it.



Then �Browse� your computer for the image.



Then copy the renamed file location and paste it in your profile.
