Which I found to be odd that they were asking for verification themselves...Good thing this whole thing is a hoax but absolutely not funny.

Once BIN gets into the mix you can almost guarantee it as being a hoax.

So I just saw this link on Facebook...and now I'm really confused.

http://_national_report_dot_net_/texas-town-quarantined-family-five-test-positive-ebola-virus/

(I tend to believe ATS, though, over most MSM.)

This is exactly the sort of thing that will get people killed. Irresponsible idiots.

From Snopes:

In just a few hours, the Texas quarantine article was shared tens of thousands of times on Facebook. However, National Report is a fake news site that publishes sensational, made-up stories such as "15 Year Old Who 'SWATTED' Gamer Convicted of Domestic Terrorism," "Solar Panels Drain the Sun's Energy, Experts Say," and "Vince Gilligan Announces Breaking Bad Season 6." While the yarn about additional Ebola cases in Texas is not nearly as lighthearted and perhaps more plausible than those japes, it's still completely fabricated.

Hello fellow ATS members! I just got off the phone with a very nice lady from Dawson Texas city hall. Dawson is a few miles from Prudon and acts as the main city in the area. Prudon, Texas has no city hall.

The lady I spoke to was having a very bad, or should I say annoying day. Why? Not because of An Ebola outbreak. But an Ebola HOAX.

Anyways, just thought I'd share that.

Please feel free to investigate it for yourselves. Google Dawson city hall. But be nice. She's an old lady.

Excuse me for the flowing perceived insult you will ensure from my question please.

Do you have any reading comprehension?

It was a follow up based on a first hand account. That's all. You see, instead of just quoting another news source which may or may not be a hoax itself, I took the liberty of calling for myself. Then I encouraged others who aren't sure what to believe, to go ahead and do the same. And you think I'm insulted by your question. Your question is neither insulting nor clever. By the way, thanks for the laugh little fella. Oh yeah, I know snopes can be credible. But that is beside the point.

Because of several recent "stories" from NationalReport.Net in the past, and this one, which are complete fabrications. The URL is now auto-censored here on ATS.

Good....

It's one thing to make up a silly story of a person, but I thought it tacky and distasteful to use Ebola as a bogus story and telling people that there was a travel advisory in Texas and a town quarantined

I too fell prey to this site a while back but not for a serious story such as this one
Glad to know the URL is auto-censored now

Thanks
