I would say...no. Looks like more of a case of "seeing what you want to see" to me. I'm looking at the raw images from NASA right now, trying to determine which one this was.

Looks at the other videos posted on youtube by this user, do you really think they're all that "legit"?

Wouldn't there be other petroglyphs on the near by rocks.
I mean You're not just gonna make a small "tag" and many years later after wear and tear from weather and such just happen to have that one spot still intact.

Yes, that is interesting. It looks to be more of an impression than say a fossil or something ground out, the ground appears to be sand lightly compacted.

maybe something metal that has now rusted away? part of advanced technology?

I think you will find that this is the mark left by the rotary cutter on the rock sampler. This is an after photo.
