For my money, Borderlands 2 was one of the best games ever produced. Entertaining, Funny, had a great Weapons System and the Character Customization/Building was maybe the best I've ever seen in a game.

The third Installment, Bordlerlands the Pre Sequel is coming out next week. Is anybody as excited about this as I am? Has anybody used the skill tree builder from the developers to create any builds yet? Before I start posting my builds and such...I just want to see if anybody is as pumped up about this game as I am...I've been looking forward to it for basically 6 months, since I saw the production trailer.

Anybody here into this game and if so, what is the first character you are going to use?

It's a very nice game, I'm just about to finish the game in True Vault Hunter Mode. I started out with Nisha, but it was kind of too easy with action skill....it was like an aimbot. I ended up playing with Claptrap and it's a challenge, because he's not very good at anything. There is really no way to "break" his skill tree from what I've seen....so it's nice to play a game where I'm not in god mode after 15 hours of play time.

I did not get the season pass yet. I don't think this game, the story at least, is as good as BL2. The DLC is going to have to peak my interest I think for me to buy a season pass. This story is so weak and so badly told, IMO, that the DLC is going to have to advance the story vs. just being a 8 hour side quest to make me spend more money on it.

That being said, the fighting is better than BL2 and I love the smash/gravity aspect of it...so we'll see.

If you happen to play as Claptrap I'd love to compare notes on a final solo play build for him....right now I can't come up with anything super fun to move forward into the DLC with.

Aside from playing as a clap trap the new installment did not bring anything new to the game.
(SPOILERS)
It is unjust to spend 64 Dollars on a brand new game that is literally rehash of all content from Borderlands 2.
Story feels so cheap it is not even funny. Jack is only like-able for the first hour of the game and his slide into madness happens too fast. Lilith and Roland spend most of the game partying in a bar, yet they want to execute one of the characters for helping Jack. I do not see much work done on guns, they literally follow the same formula as before and scale predictably over levels.
