I am sorry if it's not to your standards. Again, very short sighting. Smartphone camera, not a lot of possibility to maneuver. I guess I am lucky that something "clicked" in my head to pull the phone out and take photos... I am usually very slow...

And yes that is a great photo for an iPhone looking into the sun. I've taken some at concerts with my iphone5 and they look better then ones from any of my professional cameras. Apple definitely has low and high light situations covered.


So, it is settled - sun flare than.

Definitely two aircraft flying in close proximity. I too think the purple orb is a lens flare.
