The medical professionals are looking for a team to correctly clean his apartment. Why would they leave bodily waste to the grounds keepers? Does that even make sense? reply to: butcherguy

So now you are admitting that they are cleaning up 'bodily waste'?

I was hoping that pic was of some other cleanup.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

My thoughts are with everyone in that complex.

Probably for the same reason that the hospital sent him home the first time, why the ambulance that carried him continued on with it's duties for a few more runs, and why he was even given passage into this country. Go figure.

What does your statement have to do with the subject at hand? If you have facts that dispute what I've said then present them. Don't try changing the subject and hope I don't notice. a reply to: CloudsTasteMetallic

His passages into this country was his own decision and doing. The blame lies entirely in his hands. This is an open country. Visitors are allowed. He wasn't given entry by anyone he sought entry and was not denied it. . reply to: Witness2008

Because no one in a informed, responsible, position of authority got involved until the SHTF.

BTW The EMT personnel wear masks and gloves and discard the cover of the gurney between runs so that's probably not a concern. I'm not saying it's no concern but chances are its okay. Here I will hazard a guess but one based in known procedures. a reply to: Witness2008

I was wondering about the vomit, nice find!
And also scary as hell since 1 ml of his vomit could contain 100 million ebola particles.

Why do you suppose then that the visitor visa process is so meticulous with applications, interviews and fees if it were only up to him? I always thought that our government was there in order to serve and protect us. Guess not, as they seem to have the same lackadaisical attitude as you. I suppose that we should just shut down all of our embassies, and INS and save a few bucks.

Since you seem to be the resident expert on all things sanitary, maybe you should pick up your broom and mop and go help.

Your attitude is more frightening than that photo.

Your claim that you've "read almost everything on the disease."

Well, does it not take time for findings to become published? The current situation exists in a state of flux, and is in fact unprecedented. Consider the fact that the 2014 outbreak's death toll is over double the confirmed deaths from all other outbreaks combined.

Admittedly, this is somewhat of a semantics-gripe, but I can't help but wonder if a similar attitude of "I know it all" is what led this man to be discharged with nothing but antibiotics and a pat on the back upon first seeking medical attention.

The arrogance of man will be his downfall.

youre the first person that seems to be thinking with a clear head. i have been saying from the start that this is bad and people are going to get sick and some are even going to die. i still dont think it is anywhere near as bad as some people are saying.

in all these threads i see people posting what if scenarios.
what if a dog licked the vomit then licked a kid and that kid licked another dog....you know?

not of that # happened...

all the people talking about the people he could have come in contact with when he flew here even though he was not showing symptoms meaning he was not contagious.
there are links to resources on just about every page of just about every thread but people still post that stuff..

i dont get it....

i think maybe youre right. maybe they really do want it to be worse than it is or at least as bad as can possibly be.

why else spew it out?

i remember when aids was supposed to be the thing that killed off most of the population.
then bird flu was supposed to
then swine flu was supposed to
now its ebola

in a month or so when this is all said in done and people see the numbers are relatively small they will jump on something else that is for sure going to be the thing that kills us all off

thank you for posting with a clear head

maybe ebola dude vomited on the other side of the building..

since everyone likes to post what ifs i will as well

what if this is the north entrance and ebola dude threw up at the south entrance?
what if the south entrance is 100% wrapped in plastic with medical professionals in haz mat suits cleaning it properly?
what if this is just regular scheduled clean up on the north entrance sidewalk?

see how that works

So in your clear head....
Vomit that came from a ebola victim, lying in front of an inhabited apartment building is NOT an infectious hazard?

Wolf Blitzer and Sanjay Kupta were just discussing the pic of the man hosing off the sidewalk.
They did say the guy should have been suited up to prevent droplets.
