I came across the following video over on LiveLeak, It was uploaded yesterday Sept 30th. I can't speak to the veracity of the supposed find but if true, it would be an amazing find. Many of the objects supposedly found appear to be solid Gold. However, I'm always a bit skeptical until I see higher quality video and images, If it's a fake it's pretty darn good imho.

If this turns out to be true though it would put Tutankhamen's find to shame as per the amount of Gold or Gold plated objects found alone. Not to mention an explanation needed for this type of find being located where is was supposedly found.

Incredible Discovery In Jordan

Description:

I actually posted it some months ago and asked the same question, we never came to any conclusion as to real or hoax but just noticed a lot of weird stuff.

There are two videos of the rooms both can be found in my thread.

the obvious first question is :

if this is true - why has the news bypassed all academic , scientific and cultural news outlets to jump straight to a pack of wingnuts ????

Greed

If this was a legitimate find not done by 'Academics' there is apparently a hell of a lot of Gold and valuable artifacts to plunder.

There is still no clue to where it's located, who found it or if it's real or fake.

In my thread on page 3 some members have posted additional info, but it's very vague...

That's why it is 'Supposedly' a Leaked video *possibly by someone that thought it should be exposed?

As I've already stated I'm not convinced it's legit yet.

It's been a while since i looked into it, but from what i remember, it was reported in some Egyptian news outlets. This led me to believe that the story probably came from Egypt, especially considering some of the items found at the site looked reminiscent of ancient Egyptian artifacts.

I had actually emailed a reputable archeologist about the matter, but unfortunately never heard back.

If it's real, sooner or later artifacts will show up on the black market if not already, and we can only hope that the police keeping an eye on it will pick something up.

So far i'm leaning against a hoax, a good one though.

I agree. The probability of any legitimate items landing on the black market would be fairly high.

That said, i actually don't know if it's hoax, and i don't think there is much evidence to sway either way. I can't think why anyone would want to fake this, and put so much effort into not only making the items look good, but also placing them in the locations they are in as well. Additionally, i would wager that there are probably hundreds of sites which have been uncovered by illegal treasure hunters over the years, meaning that an unsanctioned find such as this may not be entirely out of the question.

I guess we'll never know for sure though.

I wouldn't think these would pop up on the black market. If they are real and it is a plunder situation, they are more likely to melt it down. Even though they may be worth more intact, the people that are raiding this find would have to know they would quickly be found if they began selling this stuff on the market. If it were me, I would bring in the materials to melt it down onsite so no transport occurs except for solid gold bars coming out after the melting was done.

Man, it's Egypt! Money solves everything there!

All they have to do is slip the authorities a couple of grand here and there.

Vasa Croe - always thinking ahead , stop that!! lol

It looks like real gold nothing looks fake, old artifacts buried/embedded in the dirt.
Its either A. Hollywood Movie Set or B. Real deal. I'm leaning toward B.

True, the gold is probably gone already, but there are other non gold artifacts and the sarchophas that could bring some good money on the black market.

If true would be a modern day travesty of the highest order. Metallurgical knowledge, Art style and historical information once again destroyed due to human greed and ignorance.
