President Obama says the U.S. is better off now than when he took office.

But he says people are not feeling it because incomes and wages are not going up.

I wonder how that could be?

He said this on a 60-Minutes interview.

“the country is definitely better off than when I came into office.”

“When I came into office, our economy was in crisis,” Obama said.

Obama said, “They don’t feel it.”

“The reason they don’t feel it is because incomes and wages are not going up,”

Sounds like election campaign double-talk.

The economy is not getting better.

Not only are wages stagnating but corporations are fighting against the unions to cut back cost or they move overseas.

Pensions are becoming insolvent and there is growing concern over not having a trained workforce for the growing gap between skilled labor and unemployeed. It's because companies refuse to foot the bill for training their employees and are instead looking overseas where education and training is provided for by the community.

I really wish this idiot would just bow out already. The economy is better but we don't feel it because wages and incomes are not going up? Then how is the economy better? A good economy has people spending money....if wages and incomes are not going up then how is this a good economy? Maybe he meant good for the uber rich?

It sounds as if he is talking out of an orifice that is usually reserved for waste removal.

A good economy has a majority of its workers making a livable wage.

NOT government programs like Eric food stamps and welfare replacing what the mega corps won't pay for.

A better economy invest in the future of its workforce by providing training programs for underemployed people.

The workforce investment act is for people who can't find a job in my area and guess what, you can't support yourself through a school program without a job.

It's a joke. The way things are run is a complete joke.

But are people overseas better off too and just not feeling it either?

The problems may not be limited to the U.S.

Like in the UK.....

what he means to say:

"USA rich better off but the middle and working classes are still screwed"

or too put it another way

"We at the top used the 2007 financial crisis to siphon all the wealth and power from the lower classed to hoard at the top mwahahahahahaha suckers
"

President Obama says the U.S. is better off now than when he took office.

Sorry Mr. President but that sounds more like a personal opinion than anything else, just like opinions is in the eye of the beholder, if you are rich that may sound true, but if you are a poor or in the working class, you are right Mr. President "we are not feeling it"

Nope

UK supposedly has the fasted growth out of all developed nations.

Yet the lower classes are still getting poorer and power and our governments introducing new plans to make them worse off.

Hey! Is this a topic we can all agree on, regardless of our political ideologies?

Obama's comments stick almost as bad as the economy.

Seriously ?

Yea well veterans are not 'better' off left to die on waiting lists.

Americans are getting beheaded, and murdered by radical islamo facists.

Americans have been sent off to fight disease in Africa.

Americans have been sent off to Syria 'spotting' for those Air strikes.

Americans have been sent off to Iraq once again doing the same there.

Million Americans have lost their health insurance, and their premiums have gone up dramatically.

Millions of Americans have left the labor force.

Hell there is an American that has been left sitting in a Mexican prison for taking a wrong turn.

The US is better off ?

There is NOTHING to 'feel' good about.

Numbers wise, the U.S. is technically better off in some ways. But the majority of the U.S. doesn't look at numbers. Numbers aren't something that's tangible, and that's what the people want. Being able to feel that things are better. Not just a bunch of confusing numbers saying things are better.

I said this in 2008 & 2012... it doesn't take a genius to figure out who I was talking about either:

"Satan uses leaders of men to manipulate the people – making them believe that everything is good in their hands. They promise a good life, economic wealth, peace and freedom, security, food, medical care, etc... "

If you didn't see the writing on the wall then you shouldn't complain about it now

All I can say is; I told you so... and so did a lot of others, LOL
