ATS is one of my fav sites to attend.... but why is it so d@m3d hard to do things on?

Over the years I never did understand how to upload an avatar, and now i cant even figure out how to load a picture from my HD into my thread..... I am computer savy, anything else is easy, I build them, repair them, hell im in school for I.T. and I still cant figure out why this seems to be difficult. even the link I was given to the directions years ago seemed to be a little clumsy. (sigh) -breath- I just need to know ho to add the picture to my thread. I click the stupid button to add one and a little box pops up that is usless, why can't I just copy and paste or something! rar! lol help please!

That little white barrow pointing down...click it and a menu kinda thing will drop down.
In that menu there is an upload button.

yeah, it used to be alot easier before the site upgrade. ( notice my avatar? ) there be4 the upgrade.

now i can't do any of the sort, so i just gave up trying to figure it out. hope ya get the answers you are seeking from the masters on ATS.

yeah i noticed since the "upgrade" there are more steps in posting a new thread too.....
glad to know im not the only one.

Once you upload a picture be clicking the upload button.

When you click on the uploaded picture a code will appear.

Copy that code into your thread...

At the top of the page, click on the 'down arrow' then click 'uploads'

this will take you to where your uploaded pictures will be stored. In the upper left corner, is the button to upload a picture. click this, and choose your picture.

when the picture is uploaded, click on it. You will be presented with 3 addresses you can choose from which you can copy/paste into your post.

I don't think it's all too hard. At first I was a little upset about the upgrade but I am used to it now and actually find it better now.

If I may suggest. check your screen resolution, that often causes problems. So many people can't see the options because their screen res is set wrong . Hope this helps.

I can't upload .jpeg's and on my smartphone I can't change the extension, so I can't upload pics.

The menu bar doesn't shrink down, so it gets in the way of my posting boxes.

Those are my gripes.

The link you were given years ago is obsolete and was meant for an older version of ATS. This link is for the current version of ATS, stickied at the top of the "Board Business and Questions" forum for all to see:
