A few months back I had an experience that has kind of stuck with me...

In the early hours of what was other wise a typical day, I appeared to "receive" a telepathic communication. This actually happens frequently, but unfortunately not regularly. Anyway this entity I was speaking with claimed to be my "uncle" , the message was short, and not to relevant to my question here...

I asked this entity "how do I know you are real?" And it is the response to that that I find kind of remarkable. He said; I'll make a prediction, that you can verify easily. Today there will be a solar flare.

I pretty sure that "Uncle" understood that I could in fact check on the Sun, in real time using Terrestrial technology...so I did...

Uncle told me about the flare early in the morning, prolly between 5 and 6 AM...around 10:00 AM or so, a solar flare started and continued to grow for the rest of the day.

I unfortunately failed utterly to properly document this event...sigh...my bad!

Anyway; what do y'all think of this, and what might be your opinion of "Uncle"?

He sounds like a sweet guy.

I actually had a similar experience, where an entity of my third cousin told me I'd read a post-prediction on ATS today, and sure enough, I am.

Sorry for being rude or whatever, but I'm just curious to know what the point of this thread is. One of the first things you say is that the actual content of the message is irrelevant to us. Then you told us about the verification process, which from the community's perspective, amounts to "There was a solar flare a few months ago."

And then you ask our opinion on the guy? How can we base an opinion on the fact that you were tipped off to a solar flare?

foreknowledge of an event doesn't mean this is your uncle speaking to you. i would say if this is true that you just need to be careful and tread lightly here. i would verify that this is indeed a relative of yours in some other way. something more personal to your uncle and yourself.

also are you religious? if so, a prayer or two would probably help you identify whether or not this entity was something negative. you can do a quick test and if you get a nasty reaction you'll know it's not your uncle but, something pretending to be.

i just warn you because i've personally had experience with negative entities posing as relatives. my father died when I was 10 and in my late 20's I had a slew of paranormal experiences. one of which included a spirit speaking to me as if it were my father, trying to trick me that it was and initially i wanted to believe it was him so badly that I didn't even question whether or not it could have been something else. and i was tricked and tricked badly. the consequences and subsequent aftermath of which i'm still dealing with today.

Not sure what this means, solar flares happen very fast, they don't continue to grow all day.

Whether or not you are one of those people who claim they can speak to the dead or not could only be known by yourself.

the Bible states that “the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten” (Eccl 9:5).

Never trust the voice in your head. It is a proven liar. I know. I've listened to it before and it has steered me wrong every time.

Not really sure what your intent was when posting this...it is very confusing and seems rather vague. Did you receive a telepathic message or did you not?

I appeared to "receive" a telepathic communication.

Does this just happen out of the blue or are you using some form of communication by which to speak with "entities"?

Solar flares happen pretty often, and they are widely publicized. It would seem that if a deceased relative were making contact with a loved one and wanted to prove their identity, they'd choose a method of verification that is more reliable...something only their loved one would be able to understand. In other words, does it make it more credible that this "entity" is really your uncle because he mentioned something as common as solar flares? Was he an astronomer or something? My personal opinion is that a dead relative would be able to come up with something more relevant to you personally if he were truly trying to convince you of his identity.

I had one of those ghosts too, mine said "today a man with coffee cup will drink coffee" it was kind of uncanny because at the train station I saw the guy he was talking about. A man. With a coffee cup. Drinking coffee.

I've read that we have technology advanced enough to enter people's minds and speak to em in an audible voice so maybe that's what happened.Or maybe not I don't know.

There seems to be some information trying to be added...so let me just say; Uncle is not dead, he is supposed to be living and ding quite well.

Also, for those who think this a bit vague; yes it is. Deliberately...if I give too many details it will damage any objectivity present...

What I'm trying to do here is get a gauge on this. What others think, your opinions may help bring this into a somewhat better perspective.

Anyway some additional background:

I have for some time (years) been in "telepathic" contact with an entity that claims to have some "important" info for me. I have been quite skeptical, and have been demanding "evidence" to support this entities position. Bringing in this additional entity claiming to be my uncle is relatively new.

This event was rather like other events where I find myself in what appears t be a lucid dream, and speaking with the original entity. This even was rather different in that there was an apparent successful prediction, and in any case, I was made aware of an extraterrestrial event, some period of time prior to being able to know. I was also informed in a rather unconventional manner.

Several months I made a prediction of an event that would include a diamond shaped UFO and a commercial aircraft, during this "prediction period" (lasting some 8weeks or do, and ending 4/18/2014 or so) is when uncle told me of the solar flare.

I've found an event that seems to match uncle's "prediction"...On April 4, 214 there was a solar flare and accompanying CME that "fits" rather well with my memory of the event (I'll kick myself for ever for not properly recording this...sigh)
And, it would seem, from the actual timing of this, that for "uncle" this was not a prediction at all, but rather the report of a real time event, that I was not able to know of yet.

So the question remains; is uncle real? If he is real, is he my uncle?
By-the-way; all things about "uncle" seem consistent with what I believe him to be.

Yes, that's my bad...I should have said the associated CME continued to grow all day. Course it didn't really "grow", more like simply continue for some hours. If you take a look at the SOHO images for April 4, 2014 you can see what I mean.

And, NO, absolutely, I am NOT One that "talks to the dead"...

Well goodness that changes things doesn't it! Yes of course people thought your Uncle was dead, he was an "entity". If it claims to be your Uncle and you can simply ask your Uncle if he is sending messages I can't imagine what the purpose of such a lie would be.
Considering this added information I would think you should visit a Neurologist and if he finds nothing see a psychologist.

For?? Why???
Accurately interpreting a telepathic message about a real event? And here I thought it was something rather remarkable...

Where did the "lie" come from...what lie?

The lie that it was your Uncle speaking...I presumed you checked with him.

For what reason would someone lie about who they are and tell the truth about the rest?
There is no logic there...

That "voice in my head" told me of a real world event before it was possible to know.
