Attorney General Eric Holder is resigning, according to NPR. “Two sources familiar with the decision tell NPR that Holder, 63, intends to leave the Justice Department as soon as his successor is confirmed, a process that could run through 2014 and even into next year,” the report says. ”A former U.S. government official says Holder has been increasingly ‘adamant’ about his desire to leave soon for fear he otherwise could be locked in to stay for much of the rest of President Obama’s second term.”

Damn, looks like Holder wants out asap! Wonder why?

I wouldn't know why or begin to speculate but I celebrated with a shot of whiskey.

I hope that he finally has reason to fear being arrested.
The wheels of justice turn ever so slowly.

Anyone think that the numerous investigations underway by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina,
has anything to do with the search for a replacement...

I have a faint notion~~~ E Holder wants to retire get shed of the Øbama machine as clean as possible or at least not be get a subpoena to testify before Congress

It's sad when incompetent people end up out because they get tired of being incompetent, bored, or are headed for a bigger pay check. Great system.

Yes that sounds like the most likely reason! Trey Gowdy is hot on the criminals trail. If he resigns he'll be able to avoid being subpoenaed to testify about Obama's criminal deeds. He's resigning to protect Obama. Either he does that or he'll face the prospect of suffering the same fate that Loretta Fuddy did. He still might even if he resigns.

Why is that. Resigning erases the past legally?

edit:

It would seem like the office it self might provide some protection, government secrets, etc.

I'm out the loop on Mr Holder.

Can someone speculate which particular thing this would be connected to?

From what I understand he simply wants to retire. He's been with the justice department for almost 30 years, I believe, and wants to spend his time working on civil rights issues or something like that.

Besides making busy sounds in support of his leftist agenda, I can't think of one thing he ever accomplished. Perhaps a new Attorney General could enforce our laws? a reply to: Swills

Listening to some talk radio on my lunch break, some caller was saying that Holder might be fearful of Republicans taking the Senate which would open up the door to his impeachment and conviction.

Interesting thought. I was listening to the Herman Cain show, if anyone wanted to know or heard the same.

Perhaps something to do with recent court decisions about Fast & Furious documents.

And don't forget He's in Contempt of Congress.

Plus other numerous failures and botch-ups.
