I tried your link but WoT flagged up red which is never a good sign , this may answer your question though.

While not ‘satire,’ per se, World News Daily Report follows the old-school Tabloid-styled faux-journalism of its predecessors, such as the Weekly World News. As such, you will find disclaimers neither revealing its satirical nature nor reveling in its journalistic integrity. It’s just for entertainment purposes, so they rely on the sheer audacity of the topics covered to be its built-in disclaimer.

World News Daily Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. All news articles contained within worldnewsdailyreport.com are fiction, and presumably fake news. Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental, except for all references to politicians and/or celebrities, in which case they are based on real people, but still based almost entirely in fiction. - See more at: worldnewsdailyreport.com...

So we find a basically a very rare Shark, which could be related to Megalodon, an extinct species of Shark, and kill it?????

WTH is wrong with humans?

Wouldn't we have learned more, with it alive?

EDIT: well phew! now I've seen the source, it's no doubt fake.

That shark was caught off the coast of Sth Africa on August 31, 2009. It was 4.3 metres long and weighed 700 kilos. I struggled to find news reports in English that were still online (hey, it's been 5 years) and also had that image plus the other picture taken from much closer. (I remember the story because I used to live in South Australia and we got huge Great White sharks there.)

Finally I found a report from a News site in Belgium of all places, dated Oct 2009 HERE .

Sorry, it's not in English, but it's not hard to follow the basic info (size, weight, & date) and Google translate is your friend if you need it. Anyhow, the headline reads "Zuid-Afrikanen vangen enorme witte haai bij populair strand" which translates as "South Africans catch huge white shark at popular beach".

Notice also the second pic of this shark at the end of the news report, with the guys standing by it. If that shark was really 10.4 metres long (ie about 34 feet or so) then the guys standing by it would have to be a good 12 feet tall or more...

Short version: the worldnewsdailyreport story is a hoax. They're a satirical website, like the Onion and others of that ilk. And obviously, they didn't want to use that second pic as it would give the game away.

I am not sure.
Wouldn't you need to 'airboard' a shark to extract information?
This is a question for the CIA.
