And it's COLD, with short days. I need my long hours of sunshine to make me feel good.

I think I'll just stay here and enjoy the views from my computer.

Iceland is overwhelmingly beautiful and it is pretty high on my bucket list.

The image of the double rainbow over that hilltop is breathtaking. I would love to see the aurora in Iceland, that would be out of control.

The band, Sigur Ros is from Iceland, their music is beautiful.

Iceland has amazing landscape with unique features, like Skeiðarársandur, the vast sand plain on southern side of Vatnajökull. Its one of the most tormented places on Earth, there are innumerable branches of few glacial rivers and black sand, creating rather unique landscape. Its molded by glacial floods of Grimsvötn eruptions.

One day I have to drive around the famous Ring Road (Route 1) that circles the whole Iceland, connecting most of the inhabited places and some of these wonders of Iceland.

I was really fortunate to be there at the summer of 2011, the place was still very much unknown and it had only 200,000 tourists a year (now there's about one million a year). No matter where you have been you have always felt one with nature. Even if there were other travelers around, they respected other traveler's feeling of space and unity with nature.

There's so much of it, the soft silence of the wind and the endless horizons seems so much at peace, there's no fear of life nor death. Simply a beautiful existence...

Iceland has, for a very long time, been on my "Must Visit" list.... just taking me a while to get there!

Being a keen photographer myself, I find the landscapes there very appealing and stunningly beautiful. There is then the harsh ruggedness of the land and reminders of it's violent past looking at the large basalt columns, and perhaps it's ongoing shaping. Great place and one day I WILL get there!

That's not a drawback, that's a selling point. For me at least.

Even though most of those photos are airbrushed, it still looks like a prime retirement location.

Now the original boredpanda link says hotlinking is forbidden. It says I need to go to boredpanda.com but I'm already there. This image hotlinking prevention is completely retarded, it's preventing their own website from working.
