Not all in the "I Don't Believe Your Lies" series will be in quick succession...

What's his name, what's his family name, where are the reputable sources besides Christian Post???

So his family survived the slaughter and managed to flee the town....
How the f# was that possible then...
Oh he was named after the Baptist was he...
Or is this website quite clearly Islamaphobic???
Yes, it is Islamaphobic...

While it is possible that children are being beheaded by ISIS in Iraq, there is currently no credible evidence to support that claim. We should pray this report turn out to be just rumor and that whatever other crimes are being committed, that God is sparing the children of Iraq from “systematic beheading.”

As Christians, we have a duty to champion the truth. We should avoid spreading unsubstantiated claims and inflaming dread and panic by playing on people’s natural disgust of harm to children. ISIS is an organization that has committed heinous acts of violence and violated the human rights of many of our fellow believers. But we must not partake in the spreading of lies, even if it is against our enemies.

Fair play to The Gospel Coalition!!!

The Christian Post should take a leaf out of a true Christians book!!!

Plenty more unsubstantiated s# has been spread...
Yesterday, CNN claimed that IS have banned Maths & Social Studies...
Whadya know... The article isn't on their website today...
More bulls#....
Brought to you by the same a#holes who gave you this...

To be fair there are traces of the existence of the cnn article

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story contained reporting about ISIS and education. CNN has concerns about the interpretation of the information provided and we will update the story when we can verify what is happening.

cnn

Also about the Osama one, there is a rather important group over ATS that swear he was dead long ago so for them that news is accurate

Thanks for the update my friend...
Didn't believe it when I read it...
Now it's been expelled by its own source... Just what I was talking about with journalism!!!

Yes I guess it's a paradox that some would believe that link to Osama & vehemently claim that media is full of it...
Can't have it both ways imo!

As-selamu Alaykum Brother Chuck- There are more than a few threads here at ATS™ dispelling a majority of the anti-Islam rhetoric and OSB does appear to either getting younger OR using Grecian™ JustForMen™ because as anyBody who has lived in a cave for longer than 2 weeks knows, You have to get rid of that grey!

ALL Indians walk single file, at least the only one I knew did..

There is a VW™ t.v. commercial that airs here in the U.S. and the One guy tells His neighbor "You can't believe the lame stream media Gary" (VW™ Passat™)

The media's job is to 'stir the pot' Instead of them doing any 'due diligence' or 'fact finding' that onus is now put upon the viewer or 'trier of fact' .. There is absolutely NOTHING POSITIVE to gain from watching/listening to 'the media', NONE. The majority of viewers are still under the impression that there is at least 2 different political parties; at least 2 different religions™ and it is the media's job to continue to dazzle these folks (brain donors)

Fire Your T.V. or change the channel. Most wouldn't believe the channel that deals with 'more truth' than the rest, AlJazeer™

Journalism has gone through phases and most of its existence had been a sensationalism in order to attract private dollars. Only during a very short era of US history did journalism have a legitimate backbone and that was established properly by congressional order. Essentially, the law created a barrier between profit and journalism and gave televised media a public stage upon which to disseminate the news. Only after broadcasters realized they could subject the news to the same forces of advertising did journalism begin to become viewer oriented again.

That is the big mistake with almost anything. If you deliver to the people what they desire and what they will be most attracted to more than you deliver to them what will transform them into the best version of themselves, you have condemned them to self-slavery to the very nature that keeps most human beings bound in poverty, fear and inaction. This is why the desire to bestow democracy onto the people is misguided at best. No democracy has ever worked. Life at the hands of the whims of the masses is truly what we would call mob rule today or ochlocracy. An unrestrained democracy will never provide liberty, justice or prosperity for the majority of people. A legalistic democracy bound by Republican style rules might stand a chance, but that is another matter for a different time.

The idea of governance, whether it be of the self, of the mind or of the populace is the idea of mastering the art of pruning, essentially being decisive enough to cleave off from your society that which does not improve upon the condition of things and plant seed in fertile ground that will produce superb fruit. The best societies blossom when men actively plant for today that which cannot be eaten until tomorrow. When we eat today at the promise of making restitution tomorrow, we are actively destroying that which already exists.

Are you actually implying we should believe Al-Jazeera? Have you not heard all the scandals associated with them over the last couple years. I don't trust Al-Jazeera's propaganda anymore than any other propaganda network.

Our only hope of getting the truth is doing all the fact checking ourselves on every story we read. If we do that, we might be able to glean some measure of truth here and there.

It takes a bit of effort, but all you have to do is chase down source for every story that interests you. If its BS you will find out soon enough.

Example: They reported that there was another massacre in Saqlawiyah yesterday or the day before, yet the picture they used is from a massacre in Tikrit back in July. Now - since the original story it did come out that they have video of the accounting of someone who survived the massacre so we have someone's word that this story is true with a first hand accounting of the event, therefore - it is probably true. We must do this chasing down of source and wait for additional material prior to making judgement on any news story, no matter who is doing the telling.

We are the ones now who have to pay attention and make sure we are getting the truth, no one is going to do it for us.

And that was the point of My post.. If AlJazeer™ is the 'most trustworthy' and their trust is NIL/nada/zilch then how helpful would it be to watch ANY news?

You know things are screwed up when the weather report is the most accurate report of the newscast and how often are those folks correct?

We'd be better served if the cable "went out" or people used the remote or the damned thing died on it's own, anything but something different..

Reading is better for you. The occasional movie is one thing, television all the time is something different altogether!

I cannot remember the last time I watched a news program. I don't watch weather reports either. I can look out the window the same as the weatherman!

Every Saturday night there is a show on I like to watch when its in season = Hell on Wheels - good show. But that's the extent of my television watching.
