Why are some posts different than others?

Some look bigger, some are green/blue, and some have other markings.

Are you talking about the 'Live' page? I too wondered about the specific meanings behind the colors. Could one be page views and another be responses? I hope a mod will clarify.

If there is a green border around your post it means you are the OP of the thread. Green is the new black.

my ATS background is black and I don't see any colours.

mwah but I did check out the live page and the links for each thread do have different colours.

Hi, and thanks. I've taken life two out of three. Whoo hoo! Check out the OP's post, the border around it is green, and if he or she posts again it will be with a green border. Not sure if that's one of the questions they were asking about, but it's at least one I know the answer to.

maybe your background is white? might change mine to see if the colours show up.

No, I use the black background too. The green border I see isn't very large, just a thin line around the opening post. I don't know if I can take credit for having ATS shift the default color from white to black (or grey to be more exact or anal), but it happened soon after I took an informal poll of what color people prefer when viewing ATS ( www.abovetopsecret.com... ) and the dark background won in a landslide (a Martian landslide).

I changed my background to white and it was too bright.

I will keep with the dark background.

Still can't see the colours but never mind. Even the audio reader I use sometimes doesn't include that information.
It just reads the replies. I only use that when I get tired.

Eek, the white background is horrible. Since it's you and I hanging out on the thread, I checked out your sig links. The last one links to the middle of the thread, so I went back to the OP to see what it's about. I'll post a sentence for a "free" reading in a minute!
