In my opinion Jay Weidner is a snake oil salesman. He makes the claim that Kubrick hid truths about the elite, and his involvement in staging the lunar landings in his films. Makes it sound like it was the only way for him to safely convey his messages, and that they are ultimately important for the whole human race. Then after "breaking Kubricks code" decides that vital information is worth turning into a marketable DVD series released volume by volume.

Yeah, sorry. I'm just not buying the validity of his claims.

Though I do agree Kubrick had a lot to say.

I believe that some parts of the Moon Landings were faked or hidden from the public, but the whole thing ?, I don't think so, It's pretty hard to fake those HUGE rockets taking off right, and the capsule splashing down in the ocean.


And why are you asking the ATS crowd for info, why don't you do some research of your own right here on ATS Search Function.

As for myself, I watched it on TV way back then, your probably way too young to have done that I'm guessing.

Because he knew about the moon being a hollow Death Star thanks to his uncle who was a high ranking intelligence asset with a level 9 clearance.
Apparently when Stanley was just a kid he got to go to the moon a few times with his uncle on some sort of advanced human/et hybrid ship.

He met the controllers in the moon and even learned how to operate the Frankenstein radio broadcaster.

He often joked about the Easter egg hunt on the moon that he had one Easter when they were up there.
But it was no joke.

I was way into this conspiracy at one point..

Short answer, "they" were impressed with his work on Dr. Strangelove, especially the aerial shots and his attention to detail on the plane interiors. They thought he was the man who could do the job. (Yeah I don't really buy it either..)

Lets just forget that anyone with the right off-the-shelf gear can shine a laser at a specific spot on the moon and have it reflected back. We specifically put reflectors on the Moon's surface to keep tabs on the distance between it and Earth.

If we didn't go to the Moon, how did we leave these behind for scientific study?

Not that I know it's true. I don't know how I feel about the Apollo program (but I have weird feelings about at least the first one), but if you believe the conspiracy theories it was because he made 2001 and it was the best space film/ space sfx ever put on screen (it was well before star wars and looked AMAZING). That's IF you believe it.

Also he allegedly was able to use a NASA camera on Barry Lyndon. The thing is.. if it was all faked why would the camera real?

If Kubrick faked the moon landing, it would have looked much better.

I always think of this when the moon hoax is posted here.

I usually don't get too deep in to the conspiracies, but this particular conspiracy seems to have some teeth to it.

I'm not saying we didn't go to the moon, because we did, but it's very possible that Kubrick was brought in to create a fake moon landing in case there were problems with the Apollo 11 landing.

Didn't his own wife admit to this?

He didn't "get involved." It took him four years to make 2001, which was released in 1968, the year of the first circum-lunar flight. His next film Clockwork Orange, was released in 1971. In other words, during the time that the actual moon landings were taking place, Kubrick's whereabouts and activities are well documented. There was simply no opportunity to do what you are alleging he did.
