President Obama admitted in an interview airing Sunday that it was a mistake to go golfing on Martha's Vineyard immediately after condemning the beheading of American journalist James Foley last month.

Obama has finally realized He has more important places to be instead of golfing at Martha's Vineyard. All it took was a couple of beheadings, families in tears, bad press and the staunch journalistic prowess of Chuck Todd. Seriously, how else would he have answered the question?

Welcome back to earth Mr. President.

I'll believe it when he wipes that shiite eating grin off his face and passes on the next golf outing after the next beheading.

He just looks full of regret doesn't he?? Semantics... He blames the "Optics" not the golf itself.

ETA - I've seen the story, but you forgot to add the link in your OP.

Here's one of many - twitchy.com...

Theres your sign. If he can't keep a straight face about it, the best place for him is on the course. Sort of like when Bush Junior was sent away to that classroom.

Worse than it being a mistake, he claims that he has not yet caught on to the aspects of "theater" that goes with the office. that was a despicable thing to say, but it echos his actions toward his duties. The man has had six years to learn the duties of the job. No, it wasn't a mistake on his part. His manner of operation can be traced from about day one of his presidency. The man demeans the US in about every way he can. He is ignoring the proper protocols of his job that create respect and even LOVE for the man in that office.

He obviously knows the street term "Showing "Disrespect." The various antics he has done over his term certainly have not been to endure himself to the mass public that have taken notice. It all seems to be part of his self-destructive personality, but evidently, he sees himself and his actions in a different light.

It's amazing how a person can be so empty inside and miraculously full of crap at the same time. I can't even bring myself to smile like that knowing what's going on in the world today.

Thanks for the links!

That's the smile of a narcissistic man with absolutely no conscience. As long as all is well in Obama's world... He's gonna be all right.

Well he's right on target since he's always a day late and a dollar short and "par" for the course.

Do the damage, get the desired results, and then (and only then) make like you are "apologizing".

Obama is an arrogant little snot isn't he.

Hey come on now, all work and no play - you loose focus on the job you have to do, a bit of down time is essential in my opinion.

This is why we take breaks and holidays. Like a good nights sleep.

Id rather a leader well rested and relaxed to make good decisions rather than work 24/7 and be exhausted and make mistakes.

Well said...

Obama is just killing time. He won't engage ISIS until they bring the fight to Saudi Arabia. That way he can kill two birdies with one club. I hear they have beautiful golf courses there.

By now you would think he understands his role. I don't know how his golf swing is but his presidency is under par.

No, there isn't a thing wrong with people taking breaks and holidays, especially leadership folks.

HOWEVER, there IS a time and place for it, and when your country is facing multiple crises on multiple playing fields, that is NOT the time.

Seems like Obama takes more breaks and vacations than work-days, to be honest.

These elites are always happy like this because they do not live like the majority has to.

Obama is an idiot and I told everybody so from the very beginning but they wouldn't listen.....

Damn, I shudder to think what a crappy job he would do if he wasn't doing all that 'resting up'.

Obama admits golfing amid crisis was a mistake

So basically, Obama admits to being unprofessional, amoral.

It's what we've been saying for years..

I'm probably going to be smacked down for saying this, but...

What difference does it make whether he does his thinking on the golf course or in the office? I've had some of my greatest epiphanies while playing sports (or on the can, for that matter).

Point being, why does it matter where he is? Bad PR move? Can't be seen playing a game? The whole thing is a game, and everyone here knows it. This is a distraction frenzied up by Obama's "opponents", and you guys are falling in lockstep.

Why shouldn't he play golf? He's really not making any of the decisions anyway. We know he's just a puppet. Hell, I'd be playing golf too.

"Obama admits golfing amid crisis was a mistake".

That ranks right up there with 'the sun is hot' or 'water is wet'.

There's always an ongoing crisis, so by this standard, he shouldnt be golfing until out of office...

Right?
