Well that is definitely alarming.
Whether it is from a terrorist or someone that wants us to think it was a terrorist, this trend is not one that I like.
Especially with the mindsets we have been exposed to in the media and our government. God knows where they will spin this one!

Look out here it comes!

If Syria will probably be attacked over some beheadings...

Perhaps London needs to be attacked too?

See what I mean about sensationalist killings?

Apparently it isn't terrorist related, but certainly gets people going

Well that all depends on your interpretation of "terrorist related" doesn't it?

So are you going to believe the "official version" of events this time?

That'd be convenient seeing as it's your country this happened in, "nothing to see here folks! Everything is fine, the News says it isn't terrorist related"

Ok, I'll be the first to say it....

>lobs racial profiling grenade<

Edmonton has a very high proportion of Muslim residents and I'm willing to bet the perpetrator is too...

Look at this image from the BBC article - most of those imaged are Asians

No connection to terrorism? Perhaps not directly, but I would stick my neck out and also say it was probably inspired... It seems to be the fashionable way of disposing of people these days.

Haha, some woman gets killed in her back garden (prob by her decades long abused husband or some mentally-ill psyche patient on day release), what kind of terrorist attack is that? Wake up.

As far as I'm concerned "ideologically motivated", aka religiously motivated, is as worrying as "terrorist motivated".

I'm sure the poor victim felt terrorized.

Indeed. I am now thinking, if this becomes the "cool" thing to do amongst a certain demographic, that we should perhaps be more worried - in a sense, I don't mean live in fear of - about those who are perhaps sympathetic to the IS brand, but not that interested in going to Iraq or Syria. They may seek to do crazy stuff right here without ever setting foot outside the country.

It''s Woolwich, not "Wollwich", and as far as I know a soldier got his head lopped off by some guy who got angry at British foreign policies.

Is it possible for you to have a discussion without acting like a child?

I wasn't aware that I was, I asked a valid question

It was clearly a typo on his part, let it slide.

As for the Woolwich murder, it was "terrorism" as defined by normal standards. They sought to affect political change through violent means, usually including attacks meant to spread fear among civilian populations and are are perpetrated for a religious, political, or ideological reason.

The senseless murder of an off duty Soldier could easily fit into that category. After all, the murders of the same by the IRA were acts of Terrorism.

Well, you'll find people right here on this thread who for some reason think that kind of thing would never happen.

I've posted this on here before, there seems to be people in the UK who take the whole 'beheading' thing as not that much of a big deal?
