My sister is a Church of England Vicar. As such, she spends a lot of time doing multi-faith stuff with other religious officials.

The Muslim Imams she's close to fear IS is in league with Iblis (the devil).

I'm not religious myself, but I find that quite chilling.

I wouldn't call them cowards. I mean if you are defenseless and exposed, probably made a promise for your life if you meet certain demands what would you do? Most fall for it and are killed anyway.. Most don't have the capabilities to fight back either and that is one of the reasons why the West is now dropping off weapons...

The same situation would happen in my country because my government took our guns away. Would I be a coward to you if I couldn't defend myself against a well armed militia group that sprung up in my country? Would I be a coward for protecting my daughters and running? We need to look at this from different angles because this would be me if my country went to sh*t, it's OK for Americans, you's are armed to the teeth.

Many Muslim groups have been battling ISIS for sometime, The Kurds for example.

Still I agree ISIS needs to disappear and fast.

The Kurds, the Shia... Ayatollah Sistani (lead Ayatollah for the shia in Iraq) made a fatwah to fight them, in case there was any question on the legality of killing ISIS members - heck even al-qaeda and Assad are fighting them...

Thanks for that. I was aware, I just used the Kurds as one of many examples.

ISIS is large, but not as large as everyone else who is trying to combat them.

To blame the local people is misguided.

They are just living their lives like the rest of us.

They can't stand up to these guys...

Air power followed by Muslims on the ground is the only way to fight them.

Our guys don't know who to shoot. Keep Americans's role behind the scenes.

The very last thing I want to see is our soldiers on the ground in the ME.

That's the reason we are in this mess in the first place.

I've seen stills of ISIS beheadings, they're definitely real and do exist, and they're gruesome and shocking.

When the Foley video came out a couple weeks ago I made myself analyze the video to see if the rumors about 'fakery' were true. I zoomed in on stills, inverted colorization, bumped all thresholds to maximum, colorized every image to see any deviation. After 6 'slacks' of the knife there was no blood and no cut. Nothing.

I even took a still of a restored image just before the fade to black and there was nothing. The Foley video was NOT a 'beheading" video.

And now people are saying that THIS video was produced in the same manner, with no blood.

I believe ISIS needs to be defeated. But if we're going to base our rage off of videos, can we at least verify that the videos are what they are being PURPORTED to be? Why are we as Americans so duped into war at every turn? Are we so ready to go kick some *** that we forget people LIE? That Government and media CAN and DO consort to enlist propaganda for a reaction?

Have we lost all skepticism?

Like the old western gun-slinger movies, it only happened in the movies. Such an event is fundamentally flawed. Nobody is going to turn their back on someone with a gun regardless of rules and nobody is going to sit there calmly while their throat gets slit and think "thank god, it could have been worse"

Point taken, especially with the threats to the family but still, you don't know that your death with actually save anyone and once your gone you can't protect anyone. It would be hard to imagine but maybe under a specific circumstance I can see it. But has that been the case with any of these people?

I couldn't agree more. ISIS has a grip on the very fabric of their society. Sharia Law, and they are very open about it according to that video.
