The old President was democratically ousted, and the new President was overwhelmingly voted for, democratically, even by Eastern Ukraine.

Get educated.

"Democratically ousted"? Is that the new friendly marketing term for "deposed by a US funded and backed coup"?

When was the new President overwhelmingly voted for? I thought they hadn't had any national elections yet.

That is because you are uneducated on the subject, yet still talking about it. The old President was given a deal to remain in power until 2015. He then fled stealing the countries coffers. After that he was removed from office by the Ukrainian Parliament. The country then had elections in 2014 to choose a new president.

This is a map of the districts that voted for the current (new) President, which is basically everywhere except where Rebels refused to let people vote .. wonder why.

The separatist authorities have said they will do everything possible to disrupt the elections

Russia didn't start this war. A handful of Ukrainians that took over the country did. Where do they get this crap from.
