Many times older defense tech is put on platforms because it's cheaper. It's a Red Herring.

Correct, and Russia isn't going to give the separatists the good stuff as we see what they do with military equipment that they aren't trained to operate. Think MH17 and a certain BUK missile system.

Well the odds this tank is piloted by a Rebel is about 0. It's got Russian soldiers working it for sure.

You still pointing the finger at Russia and the MH17? Wow,that's amazing

They have had the data from the black box and other intel for some time now,if the separatists had done it the media would go to town on Russia

But they have not so logic dictates your so called good guys you support on here like lap dogs are the ones to blame

For that reason the truth won't get out and this incident must have a D notice

This is how simple it is. If Russia wanted to invade Ukraine, it could do it, in 24 hours. Literally step on Ukraine like a fly, and there would by no power on earth that could stop them. Obama could appear on TV, and call Putin a bastard and other names. European ministers would appear on TV, and talk about more arm movements to Poland.

And, that's about it ... Russia is already sanctioned, with "taking" Ukraine, they would literally paralize Europe for the coming winter. Imagine Europe, in the coming winter, without gas ... or buying expensive from some other country, for 3 times the price.

What, are you so foolish as to think Russia is going to invade Ukraine with a couple of baby boys in green uniforms. A big bear, dropping cluster bombs ... and a stragetic nuclear strike, would probably be a more realistic thing. Why should the Russians risk a conventional war, over Ukraine. That would be just stupid.

So, you can basically exclude that paranoid schizo talk and start to think about this in a different manner ... like "what the heck is going on". A few caputred tanks, a few baby boys and a couple of personell vehicles and ammunition is not Russia planning an invasion.

Not yet, but keep on provoking them ... you might even end up with GB turned into a parking lot, if you try hard enough.

Did I say Russia did anything except give the separatists the system now did I?

You can't deny the fact they gave them the system as they have admitted to receiving it, but hey keep believing Russia is innocent and not involved in Ukraine.

Has the US sent any military equipment to Ukraine...No.

Has Russia sent arms and troops into Ukraine...Yes they have.

Are you denying that fact?

Lol the US could smack Russians military like a child? You believe that?

America has a great army, aircraft carriers and state of the art Air Force

I'm pretty sure Russian army is good as well,no aircraft carriers as far as I'm aware but has the upper hand on
Radar and missile tech let alone their long laser research

I'm sure the west has goaded Russia with Georgia and Ukraine to force Russia in showing these new equipment but Russia isn't silly and won't bite

So you honestly think Uncle Sam can steam roll Russia? Wow

Yes, they could. It's not even debatable. The US military would obliterate Russia. Not to say there would not be losses, there would be. The end result would be complete devastation for Russia, very acceptable US losses. It will be 20-30 years minimum before the US has any fear of losing a war.

The west had nothing to do with Georgia, but hey feel free to show me where the west goaded Russia with Georgia?

Interestingly enough the west has assets in place that give them that info, so no need to goad them into anything.

If the US won we would take severe casualties. Russia still poses a great threat and significant challenge. Firstly, you should NEVER underestimate Russia, they have proven incredibly resilient in two world wars while taking the brunt of the fight in WWII. Don't let your patriotic nationalism blind you to the danger.

The difference being numbers mattered more, and they could fully use their land forces. Their land army has no way to get to the US mainland.

The PM of Georgia foolishly felt that because his army had received NATO and American supplies before the war that NATO would support him when his war machines started using tank shells and grad rockets on civilians in built up areas

www.politifact.com...

Btw the Georgian fighters were sent from Iraq not Iran as in the headline, you think they would check headlines

They necessarily might not want to, and if they did, they might not have to right away, just buy time. We are over reliant on technology and I can tell you if we lost that ability, we would lose a great deal of our Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) we would lose most of our ability to fight. I've seen it done in War Games and it was not pretty...I've trained many personnel to do their jobs the old way because of that. EMP's or ASAT's can do that quite well. As far as us bringing in an invasion force or fighting on the seas, us navy guys deeply fear the SS-N-22 Sunburn missile...deeply.

It doesn't matter if they want to or not. They have no naval capabilities that would allow for a ground invasion of the US. The US would not have to complete a ground invasion of Russia, we would have losses, but we would defeat their defenses and then we would be free to bomb them hard. Not to mention it's very likely they can not detect the old B-2 bomber .. let alone the brand new dark-world bombers we are flying that we let them catch a little glimpse of earlier this year as a warning to remember who they are messing with.

Even as far as numbers go they barely outdo the US, that is not including NATO troops.

They probably can detect the B-2. Stealth secrets have been sold to China which probably shared them with Russia. Also, don't forget the F-117 that was detected and shot down in Yugoslavia. Next gen...probably not detectable. I agree we would win in a war and that Russia can't come to the mainland. However, I can guarantee we would take heavy casualties, especially if they took out our C4ISR, we would be fighting blind. Without C4ISR we would not defeat their defences, we only would be fighting them. We might also consider the possibility of China joining in with Russia.

If Russia gets attacked directly and Russia seems to get defeated, Russia unleashes their whole nuclear arsenal at the US, so you can`t defeat Russia, maybe in your dreams, but if Russia goes the whole world goes with it.

It really amazes me how little understanding you have of the situation.
