Had Tesla been able to produce free power all those many years ago, our planet would be totally different by now.

What makes you think Tesla had anything to do with "free power"?

The QEG and E-cat are just a scam, the blacklight one also looks like a scam.

water could be freely extracted from thin air.

So you are going to stuff the environment as well...

I haven't done the maths but I wonder whether "free energy" could actually lead to runaway global warming?

Remember, all energy used ultimately gets dissipated as waste heat. So if there was any way to "create" energy, as, for example, Blacklight Power claim to do, and everybody in the world ends up doing so, where will all the waste heat from this "new" energy go? It will be dissipated as heat right here on Earth.

Fortunately, "free energy" ain't gonna happen, but it's an interesting hypothetical question...

Most efficient demonstration of free energy i saw so far wast of a guy using a fan from computer case and strong magnets to power up a light bulb (somewhat).

The method does generate electricity, just not that much. Perfect application would be if the magnets were super strong and spinning on a much bigger fan.

Biggest issue we face at the moment as people, is that most energy generating technology still use the oldest method (Spin the Wheel). By itself the wheel is the optimal shape for the purpose but i cannot find any evidence of research to find an even better method of generating power.

They are called wind turbines...
