Israel appropriates West Bank land for possible settlement use

(Reuters) - Israel announced on Sunday a land appropriation in the occupied West Bank that an anti-settlement group termed the biggest in 30 years and a Palestinian official said would cause only more friction after the Gaza war.

Some 400 hectares (988 acres) in the Etzion settlement bloc near Bethlehem were declared "state land, on the instructions of the political echelon" by the military-run Civil Administration.

This is what Israel is all about and I find it laughable that this is the reason:

Israel Radio said the step was taken in response to the kidnapping and killing of three Jewish teens by Hamas militants in the area in June. The notice published by the military gave no reason for the decision.

In actual fact those teenagers were killed by a Hamas rogue unit who don't follow orders and have been a thorn in Hamas' side for years. Even outwith that, what kind of reasoning is this? Israel have been killing Palestinians for years and you don't see them randomly taking land whenever they feel like it.

While the U.S. silently sits back and lets Israels racist policies continue, them and the U.K. (as well as a host of other western countries) are well aware of what Israel has continuously been doing:

Israel has said it will not backtrack on a settlement expansion plan after Britain, France and three other European governments summoned the Israeli ambassadors to London and Paris in protest at the authorisation of 3,000 new homes in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem.

It's not their land

International humanitarian law prohibits [an] occupying power [from transferring] citizens from its own territory to the occupied territory (Fourth Geneva Convention, article 49). The Hague Regulations prohibit the occupying power [from undertaking] permanent changes in the occupied area, unless these are due to military needs in the narrow sense of the term, or unless they are undertaken for the benefit of the local population.

The establishment of the settlements leads to the violation of the rights of the Palestinians as enshrined in international human rights law. Among other violations, the settlements infringe on the rights to self-determination, equality, property, an adequate standard of living, and freedom of movement.

Oh, and the blockade on Gaza is a WAR CRIME.

This is not Israeli land it belongs to Palestine maybe you missed the word occupied. Unless the Romans were Muslim the Muslims didn't steal that land from them because Christians and Muslims have been fighting over that part of the land for centuries. What happened to them in the past is no excuse to let them break the law the UN should go in and remove every Israeli citizen from the West Bank and ship them off to Israel.

They have as much right to that land as I have declaring myself the King of New Zealand... To me the despicable behavior of Israel isn't shocking anymore, it's the inaction of anybody else stopping them. I'm tired of whats going on in the middle east right now, Israel is like the policeman chief's son the whole world wants him to be thrown in the jail as scum but his dad keeps him out and doesn't face up to the problem that he is a terror to society.

The west won't take any action on this, people in Palestine will hate the Israelis more, the world will keep going round continuing to rot.

Palestine is for the Palestinians. Palestine is occupied by a zionist entity.
Jerusalem is Palestine's capital. Tel Aviv is Israel's capital.

Annexation and occupation is illegal under international law. Simple. It's not the Zionists land.

This could be said of many groups. Those groups don't have the benefit of vast sums of money accumulated through 150 years fractional reserve banking, which some consider racketeering.

Eventually (it's already begun to happen) the Palestinians land in the West Bank will break apart and the population maps will become more and more sparse. They will have smaller families with less land to live and farm. More Israelis will be moved into illegal settlements. Sparser and sparser until the Palestinians are just a few small clusters on the map (nearly completely the designated color of Israel). And then, they'll begin to blink out. Meanwhile the Gaza Strip is already restricted beyond any means of prosperity and incredibly overpopulated. They will begin to shrink too, but at a slower rate. A few thousand will be killed by the Israeli military every few years. It's so tightly populated maybe an illness, or just Israel moving in with the military, eventually it will shrink too and extinguish like the West Bank.

Then in one hundred years you will only meet Palestinians in other countries and a few more generations there won't be any left to meet at all.

That's a genocide.

One thing is for certain though. The last Palestinian will have been from the Gaza Strip.

Israel doesn't seem to really want peace because they "Provoke" the Palestinians into conflict by building more and more settlements. They know they are stronger militarily so they provoke the Palestinians into conflict; once the Palestinians fight back they say they are at War. Whenever there is a war, the losers lose their land usually. It seems to be set up this way for Israel's favor.

I'm honestly waiting for some crazy to get all if they can't have it noone can have it and make the land unusable.

Anyone willing to use land that came from so much pain and suffering isn't all there either. I'm will to bet most people will be boycotting that land.
