The comedian was getting her vocal cords checked out Thursday when the incident occurred. She was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, which confirmed she was a patient. Doctors will take her out of the coma this weekend and assess any damage.

I do not particularly like Joan Rivers either. I think that she is an under talented loud mouth, with few redeeming features. However, she has never done anything that has made me wish for her to die, or to celebrate should she pass on. It is not as if she is Margret Thatcher. Now THAT cow, I made the day of her death a public holiday for me and my pals. That was a damned fine party.
Rivers, however aggravating she might be, has never done anything that could possibly cause a rational person to wish her ill. I can understand anyone being glad that her mouth will be closed for as long as she is in hospital, but that his hardly a good reason to wish her mouth to remain shut through death!
